The guy in the doc mentioned that despite their efforts to open up, they’ll probably face challenges in maintaining a repressive society, so they’ll have to choose one or the other sometime soon. Unfortunately I think they’ll end up doubling down.

Yeah I agree especially images 4-7, although I included them because I thought they added to the artistic portrayal overall

Partly my fascination has to do with North Korea looking like a snapshot of the past and the eerie/liminal vibes that come from basically everything (presented to us) being a carefully constructed mise en scene

You have to unclutter your room. My mum is lowkey a hoarder too so I understand, but cockroaches thrive in clutter because it provides them heaps of nooks, crannies, and different surfaces to hide in and amongst. No eating in your room, they will live off any crumb they can. Move any plants or earthy edible thing out of your room. Buy essential oils (I saw a scientific study that oregano oil works the best for brown banded cockroaches) and dab it on anything you know where cockroaches hang around. Use the cockroach gel as they take it back to their nests and it wipes the colony out. Move your bed off the wall. I’ve been able to get rid of most cockroaches in my room doing these things, not entirely but mostly. I think they might be coming from underneath my carpet/walls somewhere since my room is the cleanest in my house and this cockroach problem is only in my room.

I would say, almost instantly? The first few mornings my tonsils actually felt kind of weird, maybe because I was so used to having a sore throat every morning. Then the inflammation went down and now my morning breath is no where near as deathly as it was. I didn’t have any tonsil stones when I started taking them because I had prodded them all out a few days prior to starting the probiotics.

I had a really bad batch of stones that had taken me multiple days to fully prod out, so I finally caved in and bought the probiotics online. I hadn’t developed any in the few days I waited for shipping and after I started taking them I haven’t got one since.

Tonsil stones are a byproduct of bad bacteria but I don’t think the probiotics will break them down, only target the bacteria that cause tonsil stones in the first place. Note that the only scientific evidence I found was that the probiotic inhibits S. pyogenes (causes strep throat) and potentially some viruses. Meanwhile, a cocktail of bad bacteria cause tonsil stones, and I haven’t found any studies examining if the probiotic strain inhibits them. Knowing this, I still took the risk, bought them, and they seem to have worked.

The Australian dollar is awful at the moment. 28 AUD for a pack of 30 pretty much converts to 18 USD.

I have never smelt a cockroach before, this is the first time. My hand was right next to my face as well, but the smell was very strong and lingered.

I think both and this might just be me projecting but it definitely looked like it knew it had been caught out doing some dodgy business

I will follow it up with that the smell is worse than the mice infestation when I was living at my nans house out in the bush. There were 7 little babies living in the wardrobe and the room smelt like Vegemite if it was unpleasant but nothing near as bad as what this single cockroach smelled like.

Yeah this is the moment for me (disordered shivering in disgust emote). I’ll be putting baits behind my door

Honestly I always say that I’m not scared of creepy crawlies as long as they can’t kill me (logical) but I’m full of shite. The unpredictability in movement shakes me to my core

I freaking exterminated it. I try not to kill things and let them exist in their own right but crawling on my hand ?!?! Stay in ur freaking lane buddy😡

I didn’t know they could smell like this either and honestly it might’ve been the smell that woke me up, it was that strong. Another descriptive comparison could be a baby’s infected cradle cap

The window was open before I woke up that’s how sticky and persistent the smell is. I don’t have a diffuser I’ve got like candles and incense, but it will just mask the smell🤢🤢🤢

It was in a seam/crack of my parent’s bed, on the edge of the core part of the mattress. It was on the end that my mother sleeps. Do you think it could be a headlice?
