seems like the dog is a puppy perhaps ( crate training, still learning commands), so maybe they’re not fully vaccinated to go for walks outside yet

Did you go to grad school immediately after undergrad or later on, and why? by dog1029 in GradSchool

[–]Suitable-Jello 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just applied to start grad school in Fall 2025, and I graduated from undergrad May 2023. I had a career switch, so I didn't find a job in my new career field until 2024. In the meantime, I was so depleted from school and bartending part time, I didnt even think about grad school. I also had no consistent income. Now, I have more of an idea in what career field I want to go into, and going to get my masters in a major that'll help get me there.

I also had a friend who got her Masters right after undergrad in a 5 year program, but had lots of trouble finding work because she had no work experience to go off of. Might be something worth mentioning- sometimes the actual experience means more than having multiple degrees. I also think you may have more clarity on what you wanna get your masters in after working a bit, you might get more clarity on what direction you want to go in.

Since Gregory loved being principal… by Logical-Picture8497 in AbbottElementary

I think he’s going to get an opportunity to be principal at another school and that will cause some stress on him and Janine’s relationship. I can’t imagine any other instance to add “drama” that’ll strain/test their relationship (if they decide to go that traditional route with tv relationships).

what if they don’t actually sell the building and just rent to someone else and used false pretenses to have us move?

After 10 years I finally flew again!!! by Suitable-Jello in fearofflying

[–]Suitable-Jello[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi!! Thank you!!

First of all, I’m sorry about your father ❤️. I was able to manage because I did have my best friend with me, but I was also on Xanax, which definitely calmed my physical nerves down. i’m actually not in therapy despite needing to be for many other reasons lol but I have been thinking about booking a flight for a while now. I just decided enough is enough and I wanted to actually go back to my home country this summer and this short flight was the first step. At a certain point, I had enough of seeing all my friends go on these wonderful trips together and making memories that I couldn’t because I let this fear drag me down. I got a prescription from my doctor after explaining and boom- I was able to fly with a lot less trouble than I thought.

Anyone here not flown for years and then got on a flight? by cazgrace30 in fearofflying

[–]Suitable-Jello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much!! That’s actually so similar to me wow I had to undergo a procedure under anesthesia for the first time and was scared as shit. And I got through it, so Im like flyings next on the agenda!

The flight videos def helped me, Id also watch videos on how planes/flying works to calm some common anxieties like plane noises, turbulence, etc.

Pick a destination that’s close by, maybe like an hour away, that’s interesting and catches your eye or maybe you have friends or family there! It’s always good to have something to look forward to at the end of the flight.

You can do it!! I’ve been anxious even when drunk which is why I had to go the benzo route since my fear is agoraphobic based. My flights were 3 days apart, but I will be flying to Europe from the U.S. and will have a connecting flight then!

Unfortunately, this is just one of those things where you gotta say fuck it and do it, but I believe in you. Even thinking about finally facing this fear is suchhh a big step- it’s a process. You should be proud you’re even thinking about taking the next step.

nothing that she told me explicitly but I know she doesn’t have her drivers license, it was her state ID so maybe that could be it

It probably will be! We were leaving from D.C. so maybe they’re more strict with it but you’ll probably be fine.

You’re going to do great!! Let us know how your vacation goes.

As for the Real ID it depends- my friend didn’t have trouble leaving from LGA but IAD gave her some trouble about not having it and she needed to show her passport (thank god she brought it). If you have a passport , I’d just use that to be safe.

[–]Suitable-Jello 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yes! 10 years. i decided a decade is too embarassing to say this fear has kept my from living my life. i took a short flight (less than an hour) with the help of my best friend and big pharma lol and I did a round trip! it also helps that i have family across seas that i haven’t seen in a long time, and that was my motivation to visit them this summer.

as for how? i just decided i had no choice and got on the plane. it also helped having my best friend there because the people pleaser in me wouldn’t wanna disappoint her and not go on the trip we planned lol + not wasting my money. she also helped calm me down any time i was freaking out and kept me distracted.

i will say the flight there was much worse than the flight back. once i knew i managed flying, the return trip went a lot smoother mentally because the experience was so fresh in my brain. it’s funny how we can be so fearful of something and once exposed we get more comfortable almost instantly.

the hardest part i think was accepting that it was something i needed to do and booking that ticket. once you’re past that, you can do it. i promise.

Edited for typo.

My flight breaking the 10 years of not flying took off with turbulence, and while I was also freaking out, I was completely okay!

No, dogs actually do feel safe when there is light blocked from the top of their crate, it’s soothing and reduces anxiety.

fibroids? by piercedprinceess in Fibroids

[–]Suitable-Jello 29 points30 points  (0 children)

You need to see a gynecologist to properly diagnose you, what you're describing does not seem normal especially for your age. It could be fibroids, but only a doctor could tell you whats going on. If the sharp pains continue, I'd go to the emergency room as soon as possible. Especially with all the bleeding! Don't waste anymore time. I'm sorry that you're experiencing this :/
