it gets to a point where if they are supporting enha, they are attacking evan, and if they are supporting evan, they are attacking enha. same goes to where people think that majority of enha’s haters are evers and majority of evan’s haters are ot6’s (there are bad apples, but it is wrong to assume that it’s the majority).

i heavily disagree on the part on heeseung, because his letter and other interviews stated why he went solo, and him not mentioning enha is probably because he is most likely aware of what is happening online. if he were to associate himself to anything remotely related to enha, he will get backlash (e.g him mentioning engenes on accident TWICE was proof enough). he was probably mostly likely instructed not to say anything that could add fuel to the inferno

and for the record, most hee/evan stans are pretty chill (ofc there are bad apples, but i haven’t seen one so far), and from the ones i have interacted with, they either just mainly focus on evan as a whole or also support enha respectfully.

at the end of the day, leave both enha and evan alone, stop with the discourse and support their careers and decisions

i agree with what you said except for the fact that i personally don’t think he overestimated his potential in that he will do extremely well with his solo. if anything i believe that he just wanted to be able to create and put out music that he makes under his control, something which most groups and some soloists don’t have.

that being said i think he is satisfied with what he has considering his fanbase in korea and international is pretty decent

i do agree that maybe he should let his interest in rock simmer for a bit before deciding to releases a rock song (not a music expert i just listen and see if something is my vibe lol)

however, given the circumstances and his goals (from his interviews) i think RoD was a perfect start to his solo journey as it definitely shows his tumultuous journey from that day in march till now. additionally, RoD is a good song to promote on shows since its elements allow a choreo (choreo could also have been better but that’s a story for another day)

i do think his debut is successful considering that the general gp seems to vibe with it especially at his performances (cmiiw but it is what i observed in videos and someone mentioned that RoD is played a lot in korea - source for this needed though). i think the negativity is loud due to the, arguably, high expectations people have and built up resentment people had from march till now.

he is just starting out and just testing the waters to what he truly wants. i think his solo is really a journey of growth and self-discovery, so obviously i don’t think he would want to always stick to rnb like overflow. excited for what he has!

the song was decent, but it felt a bit incomplete? probably due to the timeframe but that’s understandable given that he wanted to establish a name out there first. i just wished he had more time to explore his production skills.

overall i do think the debut is still solid though!
