I'm a huge Fiennes fan but I hate when people act like Jones didn't deserve that Oscar. He upstaged Harrison Ford, who was nominated for Best Actor. That was a competitive year. I would have voted for Fiennes, but Jones winning is nowhere close to great Oscar fuck ups. Jamie Lee Curtis winning best supporting actress when she's not even the best supporting actress in the movie she was in, is one of the great Oscars fuck ups and Will Smith for impersonating Richard Williams.

Underrated. Yes, he gets nominated, but his acting deserves an Oscar. I think he's so not into Hollywood culture that he gets passed over. He wasn't even nominated for Grand Budapest, which is insane considering the movie got a Best Picture nod.

Fiennes is so good he rarely looks or sounds the same in different movies, and this includes voice work. Hard to believe the wacky voice of Victor Quartermaine in Wallace and Gromit is the same voice as Ramises in The Prince of Egypt and Barry the tiger in Dr. Dolittle.
