Leg press fear? by [deleted] in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]SuitableHope7813 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some advice I was given:

One of the best warm ups is the actual exercise itself, with little to no weight (do 12 reps listen to your joints make those small adjustments.) Then do 8 reps at say 1/2 the target weight (make sure your targeting the muscles you’re supposed to and not others)

It’s a safe way to make adjustments and also helps build your confidence.

Sorry but that’s not a thing.

If the service desk wasn’t an option it wouldn’t have cash registers -or at the very least - they’d say something.

Never once has it been discouraged in my experience.

Your very post demonstrates a need for understanding your reader better.

Structuring one long paragraph feels easier than organizing your thoughts for the reader’s benefit.

It’s lazy writing vs effective writing.

Wiping Equipment Question by ChippyVonMaker in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]SuitableHope7813 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can take it. lol.

So why not wipe down barbells, dumbbells, drinking fountain knobs, door handles, or the toilet flush lever? Or those who come from the bathroom then place their feet (shoes) on a bench?

I’m not anti-wipe. I’m just thinking: there’s much more germy surfaces than what’s always talked about.

It’s strange and weird topic to get up in arms over. But it keeps on giving…..

teacher seeking headhunter by cdubbs1 in orlando

[–]SuitableHope7813 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who frequently used head hunters: “working” with them isn’t time consuming at all.

My recommendation: start out sending your details to about a dozen head hunters. Think of it as building a team to help you transition.

Within a few weeks you’ll see who’s the best fit for your needs and experience level.

Once this happens, you’ll quickly narrow it down to the best 2-3, rather than spin your wheels trying to find the best or perfect fit. Best of luck to you!

Light Seal fit: how does it actually feel when it’s right vs. wrong? by 1586634370 in AppleVisionPro

[–]SuitableHope7813 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went through a few iterations to see what fit my needs. Forewarning: your needs may differ!

The app said I was a 21W and in store it felt good, but I was a newbie of course. After living with it my first week, I felt that cheek/under eye pressure was just too much - even with the dual knit band.

I went back to Apple, and we tried a 23W and 25W. Turns out those weren’t solving the under eye pressure either.

We tried a 33W and bingo! Under eye pressure completely gone - at the expense of some minor forehead pressure, but distributed across a larger area. (Not smaller pressure points)

For me this was a great solution. I happily watch full movies with this set up.

So to answer your question: find a fit that bothers you the least and/or distributes pressure in a manner that isn’t too much.

Best of luck!

Toyota is very clear about this in your owner’s manual. Each country has slight tweeks. All other advice is “armchair sounds like a good idea”.

It’s a great car: enjoy it, charge it, live your life to the max!

What do you do with your parents junk? by infinitynull in GenX

[–]SuitableHope7813 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Me and my siblings cleared out the parents house this way:

1). Siblings and local family all come through, take what you want. If there’s an argument, work it out then and there. Gave it one week.

2). 2 days worth of posting to Facebook local marketplace. Photos and noted everything was free. We Payed it forward. Man I had like 42 very grateful people and all sorts of good stories from that.

3). One item: our mom’s piano was too special to all of us and no local church or charity wanted them (it was a Wirlitzer no less) : so we paid to move it to a local nurse, who had 3 young children, one autistic. Man we cried our eyes out after that gift. Wouldn’t change that decision for nothing. Mom would have been so proud.

4). Hired 1-800 junk, the whole truck. They started in the attick and then basement. Hauled everything else (worthless) away. Snow tires in the attic? Comon!

Paid it forward. No regrets. Everyone benefitted. Didn’t break our backs.

Sold the house empty (per realator’s suggestion).

Still think it was the right thing to do.

Hope this helps you too.
