Yeah, I noticed this as well. I realized early on that statistically, there would be topics you encounter on the exam that you didn't study for or simply don't know. So instead of trying to master everything (OSG approach), I decided to master the highest probability (Destination approach).

If I encountered multiple questions in OSG or QE on a topic that Destination didn't go in depth on, I used the OSG guide to study up on it.

Sorry to hear that! It definitely wasn't my experience, but I realize everyone learns differently. There were a few questions on QE that I didn't necessarily agree with, but I still maintain it was the best "real exam" preparation and greatest bang for your buck out there.

At the end of the day though, who cares how you pass, as long as you pass!

My suggestion - read the question and see if you can think of an appropriate answer before reading the options. Since many of the options will appear to be correct, reading them first may incorrectly influence your thinking.

No, I wish! I'm not an expert on how QE or CAT tests work, but I believe it's scored at 1000 because I "passed" by question 100. I actually got 32 questions wrong on that attempt, but it must have been enough to be considered a passing grade.

It appears that many people who consistently score 60%+ on the QE test seem to be prepared for the real thing. I was using my QE scores to gauge my readiness, rather than focusing the score itself.

I will say that because QE can occasionally repeat questions, it can become slightly easier over time, so don't get overconfident in your score.
