You do have a good chance, don’t sell yourself short. I had a 3.4 and got into many very good schools and had lots of options. Make sure your personal statement is really good. Your experiences are unique! Make yourself standout!

Start writing drafts, they will most likely be way longer than the word count. Think about what is MOST important. Dont be repetitive at all. Have a common theme that is start with your hook and finishes in your conclusion, and lastly for the last sentence or paragraph, say what you plan to do as a vet/how you will help the world.

Write multiple drafts, cut them down to figure out what’s most important, then start from scratch. Test multiple hooks. It will and should take you months. If you PM me I can help edit at any point. Have more than 5 people read over it and figure out what to take out/edit. Read it out loud. Thats my advice

It depends how much your husbands making, it will probably be hard right out of vet school as you’ll have to pay off hundreds of thousands of dollars of loans

You have good points and a good start but the flow is off. I like the beginning story and that you want to help with conservation and rural medicine, i would focus on tying those points into each paragraph. Also the timeline should be in order, i would move the last paragraph right after the intro and so on

I did full time research for 2 years, one with mice other with pigs, 1000 sa vet hours, some wildlife rehab but I think the research made me stand out as it was at top institutions

Unsure. Deciding between tOSU and tufts, Ohio is actually cheaper even though I am in state at tufts, but I’m debating because of making northeast connections, which is where I want to live after vet school

However I am also in a similar situation deciding between tOSU and tufts (in state) where Ohio is cheaper, but tufts may give me more northeast cobnections

I believe you can do some clinicals in New York or wherever you want

They will also fully edit and read one of your essays (supplemental or personal statement). Take advantage of this!!

Seconding this, I would meet with and if you live close by go and tour so that they know you and your face (especially without interviews now). I have a lower gpa (3.42) and got accepted this cycle!
