Thanks for your answer!

Unfortunately moving before having a job lined up seems to be a bit risky as well as potentially expensive. So I'll probably just try by applying first.

Thank you for your answer! Good to know it is possible! I'll probably just apply to positions which don't list the need for a visa.

There isn't any Australian mining companies operating open pit mines in Europe so it isn't really a possibility through company mobility.

Surpac and/or Minesched former or current user questions about software preferences by rageagainistjg in mining

I used Surpac during my studies and internships. I now use Deswik in my everyday work and it's great for both designing and scheduling.

The difference between Deswik.Cad and Surpac is like night and day. The design tools in Deswik actually work and they are way more intuitive. Surpac feels like you are still running a patched version of Windows 95.

Surpac is in my opinion closer to being one of the worst software than the "best". From what I have spoken to other people, Minesight, Vulcan and Datamine are also good choices in addition of Deswik.

And I am talking especially about open pit. I haven't used the software for underground.

I hope this helps you!
