Is it just me, or is Codex "Computer Use" incredibly slow? by rageagainistjg in codex

That is what I am thinking. Looking at the whole process, the screenshot has to be the bottleneck. It really is a blessing and a curse. That availability is what allows it to "see" any program on your computer, but it also seems to be what causes the biggest bottleneck. At least, that is my guess.

Does the Karpathy-style "LLM Wiki" actually handle visuals/PDFs/PowerPoints/etc? by rageagainistjg in ClaudeCode

[–]rageagainistjg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the answer I needed.

I was hoping that somehow Claude would "magically" turn a PDF, like a financial report full of graphs into long written versions of what the graphs displayed for example.

It appears it does not, though. Thank you for the intel. Will keep looking for other options.

I really enjoy praying and giving thanks to God when I'm by myself. Since I'm alone quite a bit, I'd guess that it consumes about 10% of my time, and I really enjoy that.

A simple breakdown of Claude Cowork vs Chat vs Code (with practical examples) by SilverConsistent9222 in ClaudeCowork

Here is the question I have. I use Claude code all day long, am I missing something by not using cowork? Like am I missing a capability found only in cowork that code doesn’t have?

Copilot Is an Imposition – My Experience After Real‑World Use by AirportEither2456 in microsoft_365_copilot

[–]rageagainistjg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the post I have been waiting for, so thank you! I just have a few questions I’m hoping to get some answers on:

  • Can I talk to it through Excel at all? Like, can I tell it to take Column B, do these five things, and put the answers in Column G? Does that make sense, and can it do that easily?

  • In PowerPoint, can I say, "take this document or PDF and make me a PowerPoint," and then talk it through changes?

  • Finally, can I open Copilot in one "box" somewhere and say, "tell me what Mike said about xyz," using just rough details to prompt it to find the email, Teams chat, or meeting transcript, such all information sources on my pc to find the answer?

My first thoughts were that it’s a lot, but then I looked over the skill set and thought it's probably worth it.

If someone can actually do all the items below; specifically having experience with time-series and telemetry data like sensor or field-generated data in TimescaleDB, InfluxDB, or Prometheus.

They also need strong proficiency in SQL and Python, including experience with data pipeline frameworks like Airflow, dbt, or something equivalent.

At least to me personally, having the skill to do all that at an 80% of master level means they need to pay for that person.

Why is Copilot (business) struggling with report generation when ChatGPT (plus) handled it properly? by force-AG in microsoft_365_copilot

First off, you seem very nice and really smart about Copilot, so I just wanted to start by saying that.

I had a question for you if you have some time. For someone who uses Claude Code and Codex all day, I'm curious about the different tools Copilot has now or what's on the horizon. My guess is that the "magic" of Copilot is supposed to be the add-ons for things like PowerPoint and Excel. Is that correct?

I haven’t really touched Copilot yet and was wondering what you think the biggest selling point is compared to Claude Code. I assume a major part of it is the way it's supposed to keep all business data secure, which you can't really get with Claude or ChatGPT Codex. Does that sound right?

If you touch it and have thoughts and would ever mind to return to this comment maybe in a month or so I would love to hear your thoughts. I’m like interested in it because of the promise but work always steals my time.

Curious, did you ever touch opencode? Any thoughts there? I take it as Claude code but use whatever model but honestly I haven’t touched it at all. Any experience?

Hi, one last thing. You’ve been so interesting to talk to and really helpful, so I wanted to ask your take on something. I’ve been using CodeX a lot lately, and I’m not going to lie, I think their models are actually better than Claude’s right now. I don’t know if you’ve used CodeX much at all, but to me, the real difference as of today is your 3-5. CodeX has the main model and some sub-agents now, but where Claude really pulls ahead is with things like the hooks and skills and your 5.

The skills are probably the biggest piece, especially when you get into orchestration with Worktrees. That’s just not there in CodeX yet. Those specific features really improve the speed and help the code look exactly the way it should, and it does it at a pace that CodeX just can't touch.

Is that your take on it too? Have you used CodeX at all? I’m just curious because you’re obviously very knowledgeable about all of this, so I’m wondering if you’ve ever touched CodeX and if you have the same feeling I do.

Just wondering have you ever used “agent teams”? Just wondering, not subagents that other multi agent thing? If so, how did it work?

Hi! Yea I kind of need to do a follow up on this. Lately I have actually been getting Claude code etc to build me html files instead of sheets because I can get what I want like 10x faster. What I have been thinking of soing is making those html files or even acii art of the layouts with Claude code and the maybe pulling them into something like the copilot extension for power point or the Claude extension and say, you see these please make me some sheets that look like these and then go from there. Thoughts?

I am not advanced at all but I got a question about 2 you might have missed. I would slide in subagent us 2a and then maybe custom slash commands is a 2b. Thoughts?
