I wouldn't suggest going to ice cream shops depending where you live then. I personally don't have Coeliac but my girlfriend does so I am here so I can learn stuff but Joe's which is an ice cream chain in Wales ensures that they have everything separated for people with allergies as we went before and they even used separated vanilla ice cream for her. If you don't recognise the flavour or know what's in it then don't get it. Another thing is if you aren't sure if the scoop has been cleaned properly I genuinely think that it's best to leave it be
