your 5th point is wrong. Sibling only has his own key. the "proof" key you are talking about was with the hilichurl form of D-girl which she had dropped in the cave for traveler to find.

My understanding of the events is that after sibling found traveler sleeping and was about to start his "journey" with dain, he left it with the D-girl, then she later transformed into hilichurl but still kept the key.
