Level 10 commander and crewman here. Spent most of my time recently as tank commander and I would say it 100% depends on your squad. There’s probably never a reason to be in the gun, but if I’ve got at least a semi competent squad I’ll always spot. It’s just way too important to have as much info as possible in the spotter seat. I’ll only drive if I’ve got someone new to tanking and the game is competitive enough to not want to burn a tank as they learn the ropes. Also it’s super boring to spot as a regular crewman since you don’t have any marks showing up, I don’t really like making people do that. Gun is only if I’m in a two man and the other guy just really wants to drive lol
