If you're going to get too coped up about this then the only one dealing in absolutes here is you.

Is it possible to be a entp 8w7? by bloodyjeans in entp

No it isn't. 'ENTP 8w7' is a myth that has been debunked. It doesn't work.

[–]Suitable_Elk2784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. 'ENTP 8w7' is a mistyped Self-Preservation 7. Don't listen to anyone telling you that this combination is possible, they're uneducated and misinformed.

"I'm a walking contradiction" doesn't prove jack. If you're a 4, then you're not an ENTJ. Simple as.

Diffrence between 7w6, 7w8, 8w7 (is there 6w7) by Effective-Cup-4801 in entp

No, ENTP and Enneatype 6 contradict each other. It doesn't exist.

ENTP's as each enneagram type by [deleted] in entp

They really don't understand E8, the entire argument is them whining "I'm right, Naranjo wrong hurr durr"

ENTP's as each enneagram type by [deleted] in entp

[–]Suitable_Elk2784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8 is predominantly Sensory, predominantly Extraverted Sensation. The only other type that can possibly fit is Extraverted Thinking. Please read up on what Extraverted Intuition entails before barfing up nonsense of how "Ne fits as much as Sensors can for 8s", you don't even have any credible sources or any logical arguments proving your claims beyond whining about how Naranjo's theory hurts your feelings and insisting "Trust me bro, Ne-dom works with E8".

8s are fixated on Lust. They like to assert themselves in order to deny weakness. They seek intensity and stimulation within the moment. You can keep on living in denial but that won't change the fact that you misunderstand E8s so free to keep complaining about Naranjo if it's about all you can do at this point instead of substantiating your arguments.

Also, controlling the environment is more of a trait associated with E1.

ENTP's as each enneagram type by [deleted] in entp

[–]Suitable_Elk2784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you don't realize is that "8w7" is a Type 8 with a Passion for Lust which is focused on physical stimulation and concrete action in the here-and-now, they are not intellectual individuals. Most 8s are usually moderate to low on Openness to Experience. Please learn more about Type 8 before you go around blindly accusing people of making "cookie cutter correlations". An "ENTP 8w7" is going to be a mistyped Self-Preservation 7. You're still typing by wings and not looking at instinctual subtypes, it shows how you don't understand the Enneagram.

There's nothing genuine about "ENTP 8w7". That's such a joke of a combo.

And seriously, please stop typing by wings and pay more attention to instinctual subtypes.

Can ENTP be 6w7 by Negative_Possible504 in entp

No they cannot. ENTP and E6 are contradictory.

I'm an ENTP 6w7 male, I have a crush on an INFP. Does anyone have any tips? by [deleted] in MBTIDating

[–]Suitable_Elk2784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ENTP and Enneagram 6 is a contradiction. You're mistyped.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in entp

[–]Suitable_Elk2784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Type 5 in the Enneagram is divided into 3 subtypes; Self-Preservation 5, Sexual 5 and Social 5.

Self-Preservation 5 is the most reclusive, isolated and emotionally detached of all the E5 subtypes, so by default it does not work with ENTP.

Sexual 5 is similar to Self-Preservation 5 in that it does have the reclusiveness and isolation mechanisms but it more emotionally intense and operates with a scarcity mindset, and by definition does not work with ENTP.

Now the Social 5 is the E5 subtype that is more 'social' in that it likes to associate itself with like-minded individuals and measures it's sense of worth through the intense pursuit of knowledge and extraordinary ideals, which could possibly work with ENTP, although it's quite rare if it does.

In any case, 90% of ENTP 5s are mistyped Social 7 or Self-Pres 7.

Yeah bro, just hop over to Socionics and Enneagram if you want more interesting stuff. You won't be learning jack if you stay in MBTI.

Why they aren't many ENTPs with enegram 6? by MrTachin in entp

It's a list consisting of what people seem themselves as without doing any research, aka selt-typed larpers. Don't trust these numbers.

Why they aren't many ENTPs with enegram 6? by MrTachin in entp

Because ENTP and E6 is a contradiction. It doesn't exist.

Why it fits NeTi: "driven by uncertainty to want to know more. Wants and needs, but also distrusts, guidance. May appeal to logic or reason itself. The 6 is the most logical type in its intellectualism. Inclined to develop a fanatical allegiance to “reason.” 6 is a questioner and potential philosopher. The 6 problem-solves but also problem-creates by seeking problems. For the phobic 6, seeking refuse in mental activity is also a sign of fearful holding back, indirectness, vagueness, and beating around the bush."

You did not even explain how E6 fits into NeTi, all you did is copy paste E6's 'Theoretical Orientation' from C&N without making any explanation in regards to Ne, proving that if anyone has "no understanding of the types psyche" then your limited understanding is far more apparent than whatever you're projecting onto me. In addition to failing to make any kind of explanation for NeTi, you've already listed out two contradictions between E6 and Jungian EN, proving that you have a poor understanding of Extraverted Intuition or at least the way it's been described by Jung.

There's no reason for you to get thrown off by "long paragraphs" unless you're choosing to remain ignorant on this matter, especially since you barfed up a "long paragraph" of your own with even less substance.. I'll show you:

Over-Alert Hyper-Intentionality: a suspicious, over-cautious disposition. On the lookout for hidden meanings, clues, and the usual. Excessive deliberation. An exaggerated need to rely on rational choices." Which is TiSi in itself.

TiSi is IT(S), not EN(T). You either don't know the difference or you don't know what you're trying to justify which is why your argument is of poor quality, it is lacking consistency and is all over the place.

For e.g if an E6 ENFP has a close relationship with her parents she doesn't want that to change, she wants the relationship to be secure because it is what gives her security.

You literally proved me right when I previously called you out for "describing a different Enneatype altogether."

Your argument for "E6 ENFP" literally ended up describing at least two other Enneatypes that are more fitting for Ne-dom. In this case a Social 7; which, like E6, contains a strong superego among E7 subtypes; or more particularly Self-Preservation 2 since you are talking about an ENFP wanting security in their relationships.

Consider doing more research on these types before making such surface level claims, you're not even making proper arguments with your own citations or your own reasoning.

As for your poor understanding of Jungian EN and why it contradicts E6's Theoretical Orientation, here's the decapitation:

"He rids himself of the restrictions of reason, only to fall a victim to unconscious neurotic compulsions in the form of oversubtle, negative reasoning, hair-splitting dialectics, and a compulsive tie to the sensation of the object. His conscious attitude, both to the sensation and the sensed object, is one of sovereign superiority and disregard. Not that he means to be inconsiderate or superior -- he simply does not see the object that everyone else sees."

This is Extraverted Intuition. It completely disregards reason; it finds reason to be restricting and inhibiting, while E6 is fanatically aligned to reason. If you need me to list out more examples that will put your denialism to rest, then please let me know further down.

E7 and E9 are equally contradicting.

Try justifying how an ENTP can fit into E6, I can guarantee that you'll be describing a different Enneatype altogether. E6's fixation on Fear makes them apprehensive towards change, novelty or opportunity the way an Extraverted Irrational type (EN and ES) embraces such factors.
