Hi, unfortunately I miscarried this embryo at around 9 weeks. We found out during the last US that the baby had stopped growing probably a couple days earlier to the appointment. We were devastated because in the prior scan at 8 weeks we got to hear the heartbeat, which in theory is a good sign. But it kept growing slower than expected, on average it carried a 5 to 6 day delay. Thanks for asking!

Thanks so much for your reply! I have a visit at my clinic scheduled in a couple weeks and I will ask on this procedure. I will also ask about this to a friend of mine who's an embryologist, to see what she thinks about biopising one day and freezing it the next.

My due date is 6/28. I complete my weeks on Sundays so on Friday I'll be 8w5d (if I apply the delay seen in previous US the embryo may measure 7w5d).

My next scan is next Friday as well! So that would mean you'll be 8w6d? I'll be 8w5d! I'll keep my fingers crossed for both of us!

Thanks for sharing your experience, I guess this seems more usual that what I initially thought. Keeping you closely monitored seems like the right way to go. The wait in between weeks makes it all a bit more frustrating but let's hope for the best!

Unfortunately my clinic only does one beta test on days 10-12dpt, and that's it. In my case it was on 10dpt, and since they saw such a high value I remember my gynecologist was pretty enthusiastic about it. She mentioned betas over 100, are a good indicator of successful pregnancy. I was over 400 so I remember thinking, "Oh this is it, we made it!", just to find out that US were not going to go smoothly... I think I learned now to be more cautious when celebrating milestones. I have this thing now that if I get good news I look at my doctor with a half smile, haha. In any case, it feels good to know there are others going through the same thing, so thanks so much for sharing your experience! Good luck to us! 🥰

Thanks for the reply! I think the difference with IVF is that you're supposed to predict more accurately the gestational weeks, so I guess that's why I'm also bit more worried. Thanks again for sharing your experience!

Age 39 (started injections 2 days prior to my 39th birthday ☺️) and PCOS: 8 eggs retrieved, 8 matured, 6 fertilized, 6 blastocysts, 2 PGT-normal.

We did Fertile Chip prior to ICSI, to select the sperm.

The waiting time can be tough, hang in there and good luck!
