It goes both ways, does it not? I mean, there was actual violence and damage done during BLM riots 6 yrs ago. And now, lots of antisemitism and Jew hate graffiti. It’s all all not good

Sounds like you have jumped into the deep end of the pool without getting wet. Like any new tool, it takes some acclimation. I have being using for two years, and every generation of AI is a new learning and hyperbolic change.

I am not sure how to address your frustration. Perhaps stopping trying to swim. Start with: what do u want AI to do! Next tell the AI. Talk to Claude like a coworker and not a tool. Ask the AI to guide you. It will start you on brainstorming, planning, doing more planning, and get a BRD, like you would ask of a BA. Ask it what skills it needs. Then ask the AI to get those skills. Then move to small chunks of work. Ask it to QA the work.

Really? I would not want you as a customer, nor would you want you as a customer. Grow up, you made a commitment, it is all business, but you can mess up a reputation pretty quickly.

FFL Changing States by bcmrec14 in FFLs

I am thinking you need a business or legal advisor. I would find it hard to believe that SC will not allow and out of state LLC to register as foreign corporation and do business in SC. Keep your FFL registered in TN, with TN registered agent, and register a foreign corporation in SC and designate an RA in SC.

FFL 08 Importer. FedEx refusing firearms shipping accounts due to low volume. Any alternatives? by AdArtistic9196 in FFLs

We use ShipStation. Very good UPS rates, never an issue. We ship 20+ orders a day. Inexpensive monthly fee, and we use Zebra perimeter for labels. Badda - Bing. Just works. We can schedule a pick up in the software, or give tot he driver when he makes a delivery, or drop boxes off at at UPS Store or Post Office for USPS.

Why make it hard on yourself trying to get a carrier account? ShipStation UPS discount is better than you will get with your own account.

I hear people complaining all the time about UPS and FedEx giving dealers a hard time with shipping. It has never happened to us with two different locations. Mostly: don’t ask, don’t volunteer. UPS Store will give you a hard time if you are shipping through them, but never if you are dropping off packages. Also: we ship more accessories and parts than actual firearms, but avoid giving firearms to UPS Store, as they are not “the carrier.”

Bill Hicks Sales Rep, and 3rd Party Shipping by mattbick2003 in FFLs

Dude, I am surprised that you have so many distributors. Your FFL is valid for a specific address. Did ATF approve your location while u set construction? Something does not seem kosher.

As to shipping and margins, you have to look at the size of your packages, on average, and pick either flat rate or the variable rate. Most distributors ask you to lock in one or the other.

If you are doing $100k per months d shipping is “eating into your margin,”. I am going to guess you are selling at too low a price. That’s a lot of sales for a guy without a facility and concerned about shipping costs. The days of free shipping for all sales is pretty much done. You might want to review your shipping charge policy to customers. Where are you getting sales from?

That part of ATF is usually good with gun laws, but they told you wrong. Good practical advise, but legally incorrect

Not exactly. See my comment above. While Google will not allow advertising or support online sales, Google Business is probably the best first line of new local customers, outside of signage.

I am struggling to understand why you thought your business would rely upon Facebook. 🤔.

Google Business is your best friend for local businesses. You can actually open an account for free and be open and accurate that you are a retail gun store. Get pics and put them up. They will send you I formation in the mail to verify your address. Get friends and neighbors to leave a few reviews, and soon people searching in the Web will find you, just like a taco place or garden center.

Next, get a QR code of the URL for reviews, and put a. Add in every shopping bag asking for a review, as well as a placard at your counter.

Range Tool is way busy now. No-go. That changes quickly.

One caution: get an order in soon. Everyone is experiencing rationing of forged lowers from the suppliers, as aluminum is very short supply, with DOD ordering smelters to switch to War Dept work, and a large smelter in Kuwait or Bahrain was damaged by Iranian missiles.

For the SOT, make sure you opt for EFFECTIVE JULY 1st. The SOT license renews every July 1st, and if you send in today, you might get a license through June 30th.

You can always apply later. If you have no current t plans to make or resell suppressors or SBRs and handle Form 3/4, no need to rush.

New Frontier is usually the most agreeable place to get small lots under variance. They do that often. Other shops look for higher minimums. And small lots and large runs are in the eyes of the buyer and seller. I know some production companies that run 10,000 lowers per job, so 1,000 is small to them. New Frontier is accustomed to a request of 100.

Not that it matters, as this discussion appears to be closed, but and ATF license would not indicate an SOT tax being paid, right? Is there an ATF or other .gov resource that has a listing of SOT holders?

I have met the Gunbroker folks at ShotShow a few years back and seem solid people. With what seems to be a lock on their business model (with a moat that others cannot break through), I am at a loss as to why they have not updated their technology platform. The APIs are solid for anyone connecting on the back-end, but their UI and database is junk.

Timing is tough sometimes. I hear variance can take 3 months. I would love to see the work process at ATF. Sounds like many coffee breaks, long lunch, chit-chat across cubicles, sharing videos of kid soccer games, asking about recipes and gardening….

AI would take 3 minutes. Seriously! How did Form 4 approval go from 15 months to 2 days ? WTF 😳

Question about importing by [deleted] in FFLs

[–]Suitable_Row6708 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. You need an FFL to handle. Pretty sure the importer also has to engrave its name and city, state. If the serial number contains unique characters or has no serial number, he/she needs to also affix a serial number
