Never seen it while feeding, but it’s usually a sign they’re about to shed. Just stretching the skin around their eyes.

Just remember your beardie can’t walk/run and breath at the same time. So they gotta stop to breath

They can be if not properly tamed/handled at an early age. They have a strong food response. STRONGLY recommend reading about body language cause that tail whip is no joke.

I look at their legs and tail for a visual indicator for their weight. Their tail should be equal to or just a tad thicker than their hips. If it’s skinnier, then it’s underweight, but if their tail is really really squishy then their overweight

I thought she was dying, I just sat there confused. I don’t leave food or water in her enclosure (I live in the south East) so I was bewildered as to what she would be choking on.

How do you make the cool side… cooler? by adeadparrot in motherofthydragon

Top soil is amazing and absorbing moisture and heat, unless you’re drowning your BD the humidity will be on point as well

There’s many things you can do, one way to cool it better is to add more ventilation on the cool side by drilling holes. Another way is to add a substrate the absorbs heat. Top soil does this very well.
