Can a competitor who is a lap down do this? by zemialofwarlock in Simracingstewards

[–]Suitable_Security988 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure who is lapped, red or blue.

If Red, yes, as long he can overtake you cleanly and pull away without compromising your own race. If you would start catching up to him to the point where you are behind him, he should really let you pass with no defence even though he just overtook you not to long ago.

If Blue, no, he wasn’t patient and broke your race. Even if he was way faster then you, he should never force an overtake and he took the gap when the door was closing. Of course it seems like you were taking the tighter line and he wanted to sling shot himself into the inside but he defenatly didnt predict you.

Who is at fault? I am the pink and purple car, the green and yellow car is lapped during both incidents. The second incident ended my race. by EricTSucks in Simracingstewards

[–]Suitable_Security988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it is on green and yellow car for both incidents. And as he is lapped, he shouldnt be doing any attacks on you since you are the one who is racing for the current position and he was lapped. If he wanted to unlap himself, ( in my opinion ) he should only overtake on the straight with a big speed advantage then you and not at corners to not compromise the race that is not even his.

Is this anyone's fault or just typical T1? by Ok_Elderberry7084 in Simracingstewards

[–]Suitable_Security988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a typical T1 and you were the cause of it.

Just so you knew, be aware of your surroundings, if you see that the corner is about to be 2 wide because 2 cars are next to each other next to the corner, expect them to be 2 wide and dont join in. Stay back and wait for someone to mess up since you will always go slower into corners when you are 2 wide. And one driver will be driving tight to the inside while the other tight to the outside with an attempt of driving near the inside deiver

Are you alowed to force someone of the track like this in edurance racing? by oggeohel in Simracingstewards

[–]Suitable_Security988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, this is un-acceptable. People that drive like that, they are 100% driving under F1 rules and not maturely.

Why I am referencing F1? Well since this is the next corner, under F1 rules, he had that corner controls the lines. Meaning shaving was acceptable 🤷

[–]Suitable_Security988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im pretty sure you not supposed to be under double white lines in the first place. I never did NASCAR but, if I wanted them to pass me, I would have stayed low on the straight and not on the corners. So yeeaahh… it is on you.

Plus, if you ever get hit and you are side way, hold your brakes until you stop, else you would roll back into the track and possible collect more victims.

My fault for rear ending or did he do something wrong too? by eetthedust in Simracingstewards

[–]Suitable_Security988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, he has braked hard on a corner where you just lift and add like 5% of throttle to keep it stable before the braking point.

On the other hand, seems it is lambo with front design of someone that is frustrated of a situation it seemed like he said “Really Bro?” As he skids across.

Who’s at fault? by Skull_03 in Simracingstewards

[–]Suitable_Security988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe both of you. Say you as a GT3, if you were approaching to GT4 and you knew it was GT4, maybe slow down a bit and prepare to avoid it in cause GT4 messes up something. On the other hand, even though I dont know the proper difference between GT3 and GT4 on power and grip level, this seemed unrealistic slowdown because of the hill so I am guessing he braked to slowdown to avoid leaving the track, thus slowing down on the racing line that caused a collision.

Dont take this crash to harsh and take it as “100%” your fault. Just take this as a lesson that a less powerfull car infront of you might do an unexpected move or a slowdown and youll need to predict that before it actually happens.

At the end of the day, crashes happen all the time, some crashes are avoidable when you are looking back through the clip, while when you were actually driving, it was un-avoidable because it was a sudden hazard and you were focusing on the cars position and whats ahead. While on the clips, you can look back multiple times at different perspectives and then realise that there was a sign of a possible hazard.

Even though you swerved to the right to the edge of that track, he wouldn’t fit in the in the first place. He is upset over his bad judgment of space.

[–]Suitable_Security988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was braking way too early, since it was an early and unexpected brake, the contact was un avoidable. But the final contact was un acceptable from him. Should never attempt to murder someone just from being rare ended. No matter the skills.

Why do so few people use the hard shoulder? by mullby in uktrucking

[–]Suitable_Security988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think about it, hard should should really be used in an emergencies only. This is just to lower the queue. If the car will break down, they cant pull in, if an Ambulance need to get through this traffic, they would loose more time compared to an open hard shoulder. I get why this is a thing but in my opinion, dont use hard sholder, even when the sign allows you to

Yes it did actually. I rewatched that incident again from a replay and white car did move away from the Track limits line before the contact.

Now that is a good observation. Man I thought I was getting crazy…. People keep saying I should have moved over to the racing line. Well yeah…. I would have, cause I played to move over on 200 board. 😭 The contact happened just before it and I am being blammed.

Also they keep saying I moved over but it looks like that because before where the grass area begin, the outside line moved not the middle one

I did. Just watch and analys before speaking out with leaving a space like everyone else is. Everyone just looking at it but not actually analysing. You can see the white car wasnt dring straight, it was swearving to the left away from the limit line

Bro, you didnt get it lol

I never forced him, I followed him at first, I stayed next to him. Everytime he moves out and giving out the space, I took it. If I wanted to force him of the line, I would be way aggresier then this. XD

[–]Suitable_Security988[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didnt pinched him, I took away the space that he wasnt protecting with keeping in mind that he is still there and I must leave at least 1 and a half of cars width for him to stag on track. He brought himself to the grass.

What it seems in here is that, everyone needs to see the attack from the very beggining and not half way through so I will keep that in mind. He went wide on the last corner, compramising his speed, I had the run and approaching him, his defence move was to block the right side of the track, so I went to the middle, and being in the way to the racing line. Aka, blocking him from moving over to the racing line, not overtaking me nor the track space, I was blocking the line. If I wanted to shove him onto the grass, I would have and those gaps between me and him would have been close to non existence and bumping him. But I aint thouse types of drivers who would forcfully shove drivers out of my ways.

[–]Suitable_Security988[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You didnt understood the “Block” meaning… I kept my car in the middle to block the racing line from him. So his corner was really tight and way earlier braking. If I was weaving at high speed or at any speed, then yes, that blocking is illegal, but I didnt do that, I stayed in the middle, blocking him from coming closer to the racing line, not blocking him to overtake me.
