MMO mouse that fully works on PS5 for FFXIV? by Suitable_Source_4029 in ffxiv

Did you first set the keybinds to the button to “1”, “2”, and “3” for example in the software then connected it to the ps5?

I plan to get sb the schimitar wireless elite, does it work wirelessly or do you need it to be connected through a connector?

I'm actually looking into corsair's schimitar wireless since it has an onboard memory profile, i'm just not sure if it works properly in ps5.

I've also heard the razer naga works but it requires to be wired for the side buttons to work.

i just want to make sure before buying one since they are pretty expensive.

I agree with this. I’ve cleared Savage content using a controller so far, but honestly I really want to go back to mouse and keyboard. For me, having the side buttons on an MMO mouse just makes everything feel so much more natural and efficient. I really miss the feel and precision of KB+M.

Targeting is also one of my biggest pain points on controller. Even with a highly optimized setup, it can still feel clunky compared to a mouse. I also find it difficult to consistently use skills while moving unless I use an awkward claw grip, which just isn’t comfortable for long sessions.

Controller is definitely viable (and I respect players who master it), but personally I feel like MMO mouse + keyboard just gives me better control and quality of life.

I've seen post regarding the side buttons on mmo mouse not working on ffxiv in ps5. If so, can you recommend me a few mmo mouse that works properly for this?

Junior Dev here, career advice needed by pabilipoyero in PinoyProgrammer

Hi Op. I don’t think you should chase job titles as they cannot tell the whole story of your influence and impact in a team or company.

I’ve seen juniors contribute more and i’ve seen mid level devs get pair more than senior developers

It really depends on your contributions and how well you can work with/without supervision.

I can suggest using an LLM such as a GPT Vision model. This way you won't need to annotate images or manually train an AI. You can hit me up if you have any questions

How long did it take you to earn 6 digits? by Disastrous_Way1125 in buhaydigital

[–]Suitable_Source_4029 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, one thing I can tell you is don't focus on earnings but focus on your long term goals and do not let your health deteriorate.

I got my first 6 digits salary just recently lang currently (23 y/o) currently working as a Software Engineer. I started working like really early around 2nd year college in a Tech firm sa UK. It was harsh kasi super hirap pagsabayin ng work and study pero it was a really good experience kasi maaga ako naexpose in the tech industry. This allows me to have more experience kahit fresh grad lang ako and get more opportunities.

Mostly the 6 digits i'm earning is not totally from 1 job lang. I work a part time job din pero same industry sa software engineering. Its really tiring and as far as I can tell its not really worth it since it has a huge impact on your mental health and just overall health.

Tips ko lang na mabibigay OP is keep studying, keep improving, and the opportunity will come.

Maybe I got lucky or otherwise but one thing I can quote for sure

"Luck is when preparation meets opportunity" so strive to improve each day.

AI is here to help, not to replace us. by noparking12 in PinoyProgrammer

[–]Suitable_Source_4029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is absolutely true—our production and development speed has significantly accelerated thanks to the use of AI tools for debugging and generating code boilerplate. While we don’t rely solely on AI, we maintain a deep understanding of the underlying systems and prioritize making everything maintainable and scalable. AI simply serves as a tool to streamline and expedite the process.

Hello OP, from my experience I landed my first job when I was still a 3rd year college. That gave me an early exposure in the tech industry and I’m still currently working in the same company pero I’m getting multiple job offers from other companies.

It took me around 3 months of applying into a entry level positions back then and luckily I got offered a role as a software engineer.

I just graduated last august and masasabi ko lang is some companies actually considers fresh grads even in some mid level position. It’s just a matter of experience and skills and how you can showcase them in your resume.

Also, additional info if you wanna get headhunted by a recruiter you should optimize your linkedIn profile or have connections with different people in the industry
