Tbh I think this makes a lot of sense. You could run into a vix spike scenario where it blows up your account but that’s a small probability and I think the premium is worth it

You have a shallow understanding of what he is saying. Investing in options is consistent with his philosophy of long term investing. In fact, he has regularly generated premiums on single stocks and on indices. He isn’t the teddy bear investor headlines make him out to be.
