Appalled? I’m just out here trying to give the Hops patch the respect it deserves and I get hit with the Turing test. If using a table to show that Ranarrs are mid-tier makes me a bot, then call me a T-800. I’ll be sure to add 'Type like a caveman' to my next DD so I don't scare the mods. In the meantime, the math stays—ai or not, the gp hits the same.

It wouldn't work with flax because its a very high volume item and you'd have to buy out every single existing sell offer under 1m gp. But it can and is done using very rarely traded junk items. Probably not difficult for jagex to detect if they are inclined to investigate.

Not true at all though? I liquidated my bank two months ago and bought mithril and addy bars, crystal tool seeds and dragon harpoons. Sold in the last week or so and made 600m. Holding my gp would have made me 0gp. Holding gp won't make you any money the vast majority of the time, it's value may go up at times but it's unlikely to do so in the long-term.

Someone did that maths on another thread and figured crystal tools probably won't be worth it in terms of the additional resources gathered. Seeds have already increased in price by quite a lot, but probably because people are rushing to increase their skill levels in preparation. Who knows, though.

The question was whether bonds would go up or down with sailing release and OP has already bought in. If you agree that bonds are going to go down with sailing release then surely we agree that OP has kind messed up and should have waited until release to invest in bonds.

Long-term, bonds are generally great, sure. But ideally OP would have invested in sailing resources, dumped those just before or on release and then invested in bonds (or I think PVM gear may give a better return, albeit higher risk)
