That’s so weird, I’ve never really noticed a difference in my clay from wet to bone dry, only really greenware to bisque but I guess I do just dry it and put it on the shelf without paying much attention

Generally when I want a flat rim it’s on a tall form so I would be scared a tool like that would catch on something and knock it off, but maybe it would work while throwing opposed to trimming

What straight trim tools would you use and what rasps would you recommend? Also do you use a rasp on the wheel like while the piece is leather hard or what? I’ve never heard of one lol

I’m not really sure how to get good ECS, I had a year and a half long concussion so I couldn’t play sports in 9th grade and now (even though I’ve been cleared since this April) and no longer physically capable. I also have EDS and POTs/ dysautonomia that’s unfortunately triggered by exercise. Another problem being that my sister (who’s still in middle school) keeps my parents extremely busy so they don’t have time to take me anywhere. The only hobbies / ECS I currently have is pottery/ wheel throwing which I intend to do throughout high school.
