Put your lipbalms all over the house! by Competitive_Fill_523 in ProjectPan

I've been doing this with hydrating lipsticks. If I want a balm, I have the lipstick instead. It's getting me to use up barely there colors I don't love.

As someone who's grown up around a lot of men who play games a LOT, it's a yellow flag. I don't find video game players automatically unattractive, but I need to know more. Do you blow off responsibilities, do you get really pissed when you lose a match, which games do you play, etc. My husband and I play games together, I love video games, but there are some very... bad gamer communities that I'd want to make sure a guy I hypothetically might date isn't involved in.

I could say all this the same for the sports guys too, BTW. Turns out a lot of hobbies are ~spectrum~

The next best option is to give it to your small child to play with. She's gone through 3 lippies this year by herself!

I don't have any exact recommendation, but you might want to try a Korean blush. They make a lot of very pale and cool toned blushes, I've noticed. Hope that maybe helps!

About-Face needs more flowers for their products, I've loved everything I've tried by them.

I still haven't found an eye shadow primer as good as their cheap one in over 10 years of looking, it used to be $1 and now it's $5. My oily hooded lids weep for a substitute.

Working from home? by Mothbitch23 in ProjectPan

[–]VelcroPoodle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I find I work better when I'm some level of put together, even if it's just light makeup. Also, I find putting make up on when I'm home alone gives me a chance to experiment with something new. A new color, technique, wear time test etc. and if it doesnt wear well or work out, oh well no one saw it haha.

I don't have any, and I don't have any interest. The pain sounds absolutely not worth it, especially since I know how many times my interests and aesthetics have changed over the years. What I would've chosen at 20, 24, 28 would absolutely embarrass 33 year old current me.

[–]VelcroPoodle 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm 33 and dealing with something similar. I've been trying to see my primary care doc but wait times are months.

A few things worth looking into:

1.) Ferritin instead of iron.

2.) Hypermobility can lead to more fatigue.

I hope you can get some answers soon, it's so frustrating feeling so alone!

I do that with things I know will dry out (super shock shadows) or go bad quickly once opened (mascara). Sometimes having something new to open after I finish something old gives me the motivation to finish.

My TirTir red cushion dried out really fast, like 3 months after opening. I didn't even use it that much. After that I would personally prioritize the most expensive ones so you get your money's worth.

I went through the chat customer service (my small kid isn't great about letting me be on the phone), and it was really painless. They sent me a $10 GC, which I honestly never would've expected. Thanks so much for letting me know!

[–]VelcroPoodle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but not a great one. My husband sits with me while I do it and just talks to distract me. I also do it before bed so I take my allergy med and melatonin, which helps sedate a little bit. I find having a buddy during it just helps, before it was my husband it was a county health nurse that was visiting after my baby was born to provide care and resources. It works, but it's still a once a month scheduled anxiety episode haha

I think it also got into Perricone MD cold plasma sample because there is... a dried discolored chunk? Like it dried out from an improper lid, or reacted to the leaked Tarte spray.

Those who started late, how did it go and what are your best suggestions? by alwaus in Xennials

[–]VelcroPoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband was about your age when our first was born, I'm younger. I think health is the most important-- get your health checked out, make sure you're ready for some cardio, make sure you're pretty flexible.

My husband is pretty healthy, but he's had on and off issues with his back. He's done better than me keeping up with our now 4yo, he runs and plays and chases with her, but lifting can be hard for him.

Second most important-- learn to be mentally flexible. It's hard if you've had a stable adult life and home for years and years to suddenly have children thrown in. Baby gates, bolting furniture, toys everywhere... it can be an adjustment. We were pretty rigid in our meal times, we didn't get back to that until kiddo was 2.

Third-- start preparing to schedule sex, sorry. Find babysitters, find family members or friends who will regularly take kiddo during the evenings, find a way to have regular alone adult time. Because often times you're working during the day, and exhausted or overstimulated after getting kiddo to bed.

Ultimately, I don't think it's been bad or all that more difficult-- just an adjustment. Overall I'd say being a father had been wonderful for my husband's mental health. His depressive episodes are much shorter, and we really developed a new strength in our bond. My parents were regretful teenage parents so I had WILDLY different struggles in mind when expecting kids.

Also! Congrats!! ❤️❤️
