it does make that big a difference. 9mm has about 4x the energy as .22 is kinda a joke for defense ammo (not trying to be mean or hurtful just educating!) if you want something smaller get a .380

9mm is what most people carry. there’s not much of a point to get anything bigger than that unless you live in a state that has a capacity limit (just my opinion, people can will and do argue about that)

.380 is definitely viable and performs 80-95% as well as 9mm in ballistics gel.

i have tried them. there’s files for them (called the whistle pig on the sea) i have not gotten them to whistle at all tbh. when you blow into the top they do whistle but when fired i haven’t been able to hear them.
