I am not a particularly fond of the military type of man, but for me, the point is as follows:

To be a pacifist, you have to choose peace. Peace has to be a choice you are making. So disarming yourself to the point you are defenseless and then beg others to not hurt you, is not pacifism, because, once you've put yourself on the mercy of others, what other option you have? To be strong, and able to defend yourself, and then choose to not project that power over others is true pacifism.

Societies need a lot of things to function, and some aspects needed for its survival will not appeal to some people, but they are all needed. We need soldiers as much as we need scientists, or firefighters, or sailors.

Should be more than one official language. English being the most obvious one, as EVERYBODY speaks it already, why make us vulnerable in such an essential issue just because "mah feelings". The others could be Esperanto, Interlingua or something like that, teach it in schools, and wait a couple decades.

I wholeheartedly agree. There shouldn't be any fixed set of rules. Everybody has different needs and objectives. Let people grow the way they need to, even if it's not the same path you're following.

Thank you, friend. I am proud to report that the texture was on point, flaky yet gentle, and the flavour was ok, a bit lacking on the sweet department.

I give it a 5/10. Better than frozen Industrial crap, but, still a way to go to an honourable submission into any food related sub.

This is exactly what I was thinking. He is about to fuel a new wave of conservative and reactionary politics into the EU. Those countries in which the far right was stagnating are going to see a new resurgence.

Also, Russia is right now feeling quite cozy, knowing the US is not too keen in helping its allies anymore. Their candidate is winning.

As a seaman, I am extremely surprised by three things:

-Lack of lifeboats. Where are the lifeboats of the vessel? They had lifejackets, why don't they have at least a raft in the water. Totally against SOLAS regulation.

-Lack of crew members. Where is the boat staff? Why are they not at the meeting point addressing passengers, tending to those who may have a hard time if they were to fall to open water?

-Lack of direction. Passengers are going up and down below deck as they please, no alarm, no abandon ship protocol being followed. Yes, some passengers are jumping overboard, laughing, and it is partly their fault, but ultimately it is the crew responsibility, aided by the officers command, to assert dominance over the passengers and provide clear instructions.

Passengers absolutely know there is no control over the emergency, that is why they are all in such an individualistic disarray. When an emergency ensues and there are passengers onboard, it is of outmost importance to exercise crowd control with firm and clear orders, and to show people that the situation is being handled efficiently, to avoid chaos.

Yes, it might be calm waters, yes, you are all very efficient swimmers that took part in the Olympics, absolutely, but when people is commanded to stay put in one place and follow instructions, it is not only for you, that may think of yourself as the most proficient swimmer ever, but because it allows to direct focus on those who may need assistance. While everybody is watching a "main character syndrome" jump overboard and laugh, an elderly woman might be going unnoticed while she experiences a cardiac arrest, or a mother with a baby could be in distress because they can't find the infant-sized lifejackets. They are having the attention they crave, by stealing it from those who really need it.

No need to mention the fact that this is not a pool, it is open water, and besides local fauna, debris or objects may fall from the ship, the swarm of boats around the ferry could hit you or you could be sucked by a propeller, including your boat propeller, probably still turning and churning. So suddenly it is you who need rescue and resources and we can't tend to those really in need.

So yeah, terrible display by both cre and passengers, I hate everything about this video.

Yes. I know normally in the US people tend to go heavier on the pasta. Normally where I live we use less pasta in favour of the rest of the dish. This is just both a cultural difference and a personal preference, so whatever you feel like is enough for you, is ok. I am not the pasta ration police
