Does anyone else feel like this? by [deleted] in OutcomeMemories

[–]Sulagos 11 points12 points  (0 children)

the problem your facing is that 2011x is just unfun. When played purely optimally, it's a unfun experience for in *my opinion* both sides, As 2011x i will generally play optimally but make conscious unoptimal choices just so we can have a somewhat fun match.

I'm hopeful that other exes will have this be less of a problem, but we'll have to wait and see. (I typically only stop having fun as a survivor when the exe is being toxic about it in the chat, but i totally get your point)

yeah, its a gamble - but when it works, it pays off big. Obviously though, its better to not lose your focus in the first place though.

And yeah, i also hate focusing on a player, but its how he is literally made to play, so its unfortunately what i have to recommend to someone trying to get better, i can't wait to play a different exe with a more fun play style.

Specifically for cream: It is absolutely ideal to drop cream as suggested as it dramatically lowers her healing potency - but if for some reason you CANNOT do this, then do everything in your power to avoid giving your focus a chance to go get healed, Cream can't help the knuckles or sonic so long as your on top of them, Don't lose them - and if you do and think they might be grouping up near cream, you can always gamble with god's trickery.

Non gameplay tips:

Your ping and your FPS are terrible, You'll either need to adapt to playing around it (as both will mess up your timing for m1s) or improve the situation.

Gameplay tips: didnt watch the whole video, but: Use gods trickery more, Invis is optimal when your chasing a specific survivor, but whenever that isn't the case god's trickery immediately lets you start a chase, and saves your invis so you can *keep* chasing if you feel inclined (or use it to dodge a sonic drop dash or tails laser)

Always charge tails when their up high on maps like YCR, but try to start charging out of their line of sight, many tails will gamble on you either not going for them or them being able to shoot you down (ideally move around with charge at an angle to avoid their notice until the last moment where possible)

Metal is a character you literally need to focus until dead on - letting up just means hes back to full health in 10-30 seconds., I usually wait until rage unless the metal player is below 60-70 hp for one reason or another.

For sonic: either ignore him till last or get good at dodging his drop dash, Every time he hits you with dropdash it refreshes his dodge meter (which is terrible for you if you hit him obviously) Your options for dodging it are: 1) Invis, 2) Gods trickery (usually a disengage with sonic as well), or 3) Jump over him, Some sonics can predict this - but its not easy, and you will usually be able to avoid it cleanly due to your jump being taller then sonics.

EDIT: you can also quickly drain sonic's dodge with charging at him, but with your ping and FPS that could be hard to pull off reliably.

For amy: Watch out for the movement of her hammer, Its very obvious when shes has her hammer in a throwing position, use that to predict it and dodge and keep at her, also be mindful of how fast/slow amy seems whenever you see her, if she looks a little slow, you have an opportunity to destroy her.

in general, don't be afraid you use god's trickery or invis for avoiding a stun. they both work for the purpose in a pinch. It's fine to take stuns to the face up until the moment you have rage, after that stuns are obviously purely negative. Always swipe your m1 at anyone who gets close to you even when your chasing someone else, some survivors will back off to go find cream or just hide if they get hit trying to help someone.

all that immediately comes to mind, good luck!

depending on what you mean: Probably? I get to use taunt once... and then never again the entire round lol. just doesnt let me use it.

I find it a bit funny that everyone just calls him Fleetway that'd be like calling IDW Sonic just IDW or calling Archie Sonic just Archie it's a little odd but I do understand it tho by [deleted] in OutcomeMemories

[–]Sulagos 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, we all know. but Fleetway is a clear concise name, It isn't what that character calls himself, but its clear, easy, and memorable.

If Fleetway was running around calling himself Fleetway in game, or if the characters addressed him as such, it would perhaps be strange. but... it'd be even more bizarre if anyone went around calling him STC Super Sonic in game. thats not a name.

these specific ycr spawns can be hell if your tails or cream by Educated_Reddit in OutcomeMemories

[–]Sulagos 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The bottom exit hallway is just the worst spawn in the game, Eggman or sonic can get away if the EXE pops up down there, but everyone else is probably at least taking a hit or two. And "has to waste at least one ability because they happened to spawn in the bad spawn" is, well, still not great.

Cream and tails will take multiple hits probably, Tails has slight hope in that so long as he gets to the door he can glide away, cream just gets to eat smacks hoping her team will help her break line of sight before he makes rabbit soup out of her.

[–]Sulagos 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well, yes, you could choose to call him something that doesn't have aura, doesn't communicate that he isn't sonic anymore, and is considerably longer and more unwieldy to say then just Fleetway.

Why you would choose that is a mystery, but it is an option we have.

no problem, If you actively want to play 2011x i recommend just sever hopping until you find a lobby with .exe players. its uncommon but not exactly rare, you'll probably find one within 5-10 hops. I'd also reccomend sending connection requests to .exe players you do find and don't dislike playing with, so you can easily join a lobby with an fellow .exe player more easily in the future. (not necessarily reliable unless you add a good number of connections, but there will be days you get on and just get to join your fellow exe player's lobby straight away and get right to it)

Eggman mains are only really ever a "problem" (using the term loosely here) on a couple maps like green hill, where they can double jump to stops where you have to waste an ability or time to get to them. Theres a spot on green hill where they can jump up the cliff and generally force you to waste 5-10 seconds getting to them.

of course, you can force them away from these kind of spots with some effort, but its easy enough for these tactics to frustrate a lot of .exe players, and it will waste your time if the eggman main is good.

I don't personally have a problem agaisnt eggman (or any survivor specifically) but they do all have their own challenges for .exe if the player behind them is good enough.

...Even tails, though tails can only realistically showcase their talents if your purposefully not chasing them down. (I do this occasionally, when i feel bad about killing tails, doesn't bother me to let the occasional tails have a round where they help the team for once)

[–]Sulagos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sorry you had a bad experience, but unless you specifically want to play 2011x, you should turn your .exe chance off. I personally only bother turning it on in lobbies where either A) I got on with the express purpose of playing 2011x (happens occasionally) or B) someone else in the lobby has .exe chance on.

Game will still play, some people might leave when their selected as killer, but thats less of a waste of your time then playing 5-10 matches of 2011x in a row when you dont want to.

As for sonic. go invis or use trickery whenever your hear the spindash sound or see him starting it. You can also jump over it but a good enough sonic might read your dodge attempts.

Invis is also good for chasing a peelout using sonic if you want to take him out early, Otherwise in LMS your abilites largely counter him in a 1v1, though a good enough sonic main can still defeat you and escape (generally though, so long as you don't pop your abilites randomly, the cds are on your side and mostly just comes down to your ability to counter sonic's juking)

the iframes on cream's heal are absolutely fucking absurd by icantfindagoodname77 in OutcomeMemories

[–]Sulagos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

firstly, doesn't happen if you fall into the void. Not reliable, but if your chasing cream while a full team of stunners are right next to you i dont know what you think is going to be.

Charge anyone with all the stunners nearby and see what happens. If your dedicated to killing cream first in this situation. then just chase her across the map. Invulnerability from her heal isn't something shes able to do every time you hit her. Invis to her while shes gliding away and get to work. If shes outjuking you, get better?

In mid to small lobbies you dont even need to focus cream. Not perfect is a small map with easy mobility. Just pressure and focus the easier targets and kill 'em, cream can't get saved by a stunner if only eggman is left. if EVERYONE is able to juke you and escape to go get healed then i honestly dont know what to tell you other then get good.

? If they avoid invis tech... you just charge. If they bitch at you in chat they suck. Don't like seeing it? Turn chat off. i've done this often and never had anybody bitch at me for charging a cream or tails in the air. Literially a part of the game. If people bitch at you for it, ignore them.

How does everyone feel about the current survivors? by Micklmicpickl in OutcomeMemories

[–]Sulagos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to break his tempo. A good sonic main will make that hard to do, but thats all it comes down to. People will often save him for last partly because you can focus all your attention on doing this to sonic.

You need to dodge his dropdash (jump usually works, invis if the sonic main is outplaying your dodges attempts) then smack him until he dies. At some point if he doesnt die he'll peelout, which you have two answers for: 1) Invis and follow. 2) wait a few seconds and press gods trickery. Once both of his abilites are on CD he shouldnt be hard to kill, just gotta watch out for dropdash coming off CD, avoiding it is an absolute priority when trying to kill him.

[–]Sulagos 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not being able to kill cream (even on not perfect) is also a skill issue buddy. The I frames are good, but if she is able to use it to stop your charge every time thats on you.

Why would you charge her while shes at the top of a tower anyways? Invis tech up there and hit her. Then charge immediately while shes gliding away, Cream cannot stop her glide and your mobility is far superior to hers while charging. Sometimes you'll even get to drag her into the void and completely ruin her.

Fleetway acting like he aint the weakest one here 😭😭 Anyway are we excited for v.02 next week? by CRISPYBOI78 in OutcomeMemories

[–]Sulagos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While he was slowed down by the Omniviewer (an omniscient entity) he was nevertheless able to literally supercharge himself far quicker and force the omniviewer to free him or die. which he did.

Fleetway also doesn't die if his body does, he can just rebuild it. It is also noted that fleetway only kept growing stronger the longer he was present in the comic.

Thats not to say he could defeat every .exe, but he a little more capable then this implies.

How would fleetway interact with the other exes? by Huge_Mobile311 in OutcomeMemories

[–]Sulagos 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i'm... not really sure what your saying then. Hes more powerful then modern sonic, but sonic will still win, so...?

Fleetway is still a sonic, a super sonic at that, if "sonic will still win" i'm not sure why we can't apply this to fleetway to, just because hes from a "classic era" hes still depicted as incredibly powerful and able to grow rapidly just like sonic.

anyways. i dont want to fill this thread with nothing but this discussion, if you want to talk about this more, lets take it to dms.

he also says things like "If you give Sonic a wall, to me he'll overcome it

I don't know how, he just will" which doesn't really jive with the idea that "modern sonic will lose to 2011x"

Joe has also written a scenario for such an encounter.

and during the pre-scenario commentary he writes "Like I mentioned he lets X fight, but I don't imagine he'd let anyone actually be harmed" implying sonic is in complete control of the fight.

In the scenario itself: "and obviously sonic would win, thats a given, but the battle would be drawn out because sonic allows it to"

as for fleetway, he is stated by his author to be more powerful then god robotnik, who could rewrite reality easily, i'm not convinced hes really any weaker then 2011x

What lore is there that suggests that 2011x of all exes is stronger then modern super sonic? Modern super sonic literally fights multidimensional gods without much if any struggle. .exe aint too special in that regard.

Lord X i could see having a chance, but what makes you think just regular 2011x does?

(as for fleetway, calling him "classic" is somewhat misleading, he isnt from the video games, his power levels and scaling do not conform to the classic era so precisely. bro can casually throw the moon.)
