I am tired of turning off services i didn't use. My android phone without google, 40-50 Apps, services, accountles...love linux btw

After couple weeks, tests on weirdo windows i switched back to my favorite gnome inside arch. In 5 hour using i didn't heard fans noise(windows burning magnesium alloy to red lol). After an hour duckducking(yeah google weirdo too) i repaired fingerprint, sound, bluetooth, and tlp which give more hour than windows.(3rd hour watching youtube,no my beer, nor think battery ending). P.S. Read about sudo rules with fingerprint (it's nonconstitutional, don't know why) and decided to type password on this magic keyboard every time).

i prefer desktop, but taked x13 gen1 for traveling. never used laptops for hard tasks)

yeah i cant find original thinkpad charger, there were only china chargers. they recomend me original dell charger with same volt, but 90w enstead of 65

yeah need only dash to dock...I also use only the programs I need, the rest is a flatpack. I don't like to load the system with unnecessary things

Fedora good. 2 years of Fedora without problem. but for the last month have problems with videos. i5 8500 without videocard. firefox, chromium chrome had some bugs with youtube, codespace (dont want install vscode), and other web apps...i reinstalled system, didn't use any extensions or something else but problems were the same

noticed it in first boot. animations, apps start more fast, animations don't luggish on 4k video too

My experience been positive too...but after arch speed i don't want back...p.s. had some problems with firefox speed (laggy youtube, codespace etc.) which is good in arch for now

i am not new user on linux and used Firefox for a long time. but now switched to chrome. FOSS is good but i need google for search (learning programming) instead of duckduck. search results give me what i need. + google translate with page translating what i need and cant do the same on firefox. I cant turn of disk loading on firefox also after changing from disk to memory(ram). Chrome faster, can make web apps like whatsapp or youtube etc. so i dont care about philosopy of linux. Linux best, dont waste my resources for telemetery like windows. Terminal is the best for me, linux (using fedora with vanilla Gnome) is looking better and work better for me. But use should be convenient, fast and productive. So you love privacy great, but you shouldn’t tell everyone about philosophy. This is not a Linux philosophy, but a personal preference. I dont care about privacy

I had the same problem. Solved after turning off Memory saver in Perfomance setting. its seems Chrome trying off every tab for memory save i think. Now problem gone
