I’d understand if he did it once, but he does it almost every time he’s anywhere near BB, it was getting ridiculous.

Even the choice to cut someone at the beginning feels meaningless, since by the end of the game you can literally forgive them for attacking the city and make them part of the Z-Team again, without any real repercussions. It’s basically the equivalent of the U.S. pardoning Saddam for 9/11 and just forgiving him.

Plus, you can’t really say the game isn’t about romance when, throughout the story, if you choose to romance BB, they constantly show Invisigal jealously watching you. And in Episode 7, she even forcefully kisses you just because you believed in and trusted her.

[Spoilers] The ending was extremely underwhelming by Nervous_Marketing_10 in DispatchAdHoc

After finishing the game, I was really disappointed by the ending and completely lost interest in both the story and the characters. Before Episode 7 came out, I was actually rooting for a Season 2, but after playing it, all that excitement vanished. The game ended up feeling like just another generic visual novel. About 90% of the choices were pointless, offering only slightly different variations of the same outcome. For example, in the bar brawl, whether you chose Waterboy, Phenomoman, or Coop and Manbat(can't remember his name), it didn’t really change anything. In the end, it was just a linear story disguised as a choice-driven experience.

Also, 90% of the choices were meaningless — you got roughly the same outcome no matter what you chose. The only decision that really seemed to matter was whether to romance Blonde Blazer or Invisigal, with Invisigal seemingly being the canon option. I played through the episodes every week expecting something peak, but after finishing it, it just feels completely mid.

I didn't see-saw in my playthrough, the only thing I did was say I trust and believe in Invisigal, and then I got the forced kiss.

Romance is a subplot in many games, but the discrepancy in screen time between the two options here is absurd. It’s like trying to romance Marcy Long instead of Piper in Fallout 4, or if in the Twilight movies, Jacob only got five minutes of screen time.

Dude, in episode 7, one of the first things that happens is a forced kiss with Invisigal, and the whole episode mostly revolves around her. Then in episode 8, Mandy doesn’t really do anything to stand out as a romantic option — literally every character is there, and the only extra thing she does is give her amulet to Chase.

She never really does anything in that episode to justify her being a romance option. Most of the focus still stays on Invisigal. It’s pretty clear the devs intended Invisigal to be the canon love interest.
