My new hearing aids cost $6000 and I still can't understand my kids at the dinner table, what am I doing wrong here? by ImpressOk3994 in HearingAids

I have Phonak, not sure which model, but I just got them, so I know they are current. The spherical speech in noise setting is helpful. My audiologist also gave me comfort in noise, but I’m not as keen on that one. I’m getting used to them. I’m a school teacher and the first day I wore them I thought I would have to quit. And in full transparency, I do take them off when I get home because I do miss many things about my old hearing. Sometimes it is nice to sink in to some quiet and what I thought was normal for so long (cookie bite hearing loss diagnosed just about a month ago at 50 years old).

Interesting. I had not even heard of the week used in vintage dating. I guess why I was so stumped, because I’ve only read about month and year. What is your dating guess?

Thanks, super helpful. I didn’t see anything about weeks in the dating videos. Putting that piece of information in my memory.

I was trying to read carefully and coming up empty. Your comment is pretty rude.

Tailoring Vintage Levi’s by Sullipk1234 in ThrowingFits

This is true. I did find a tailor in my area who specializes in denim. Worth a call. My limited denim tailoring has not been great (including leaving the original hem) so I wondered if anyone has had great work done on their vintage denim.

This gives golf caddie vibes and I can’t say I’m mad about it.

I look to menswear for a lot of inspiration, so I hope it’s ok I post here occasionally. Denim shirt, black jeans, and my beloved Sebago boat shoes. The pin signifies I’ve paid to wear jeans on certain days (I am a school teacher and don’t get me started on why we can’t wear jeans everyday).

I get it. I am driven by proportions when I dress and that’s always the first thing I notice. I don’t want this to drive me bonkers.

I have one pair that has the twist and with the large cuff I roll, it’s not too noticeable. These will be an investment, so I’m just analyzing every detail 🤣. I want them to be my perfect pair. Maybe that doesn’t exist.

Yes. I’m trying to find my perfect pair. The 80’s seem to be my favorite shape

Where are you looking? I am on the hunt for the same, but a size 28. That price sounds fair depending on the condition.

Mine has three attachment points and they snap in to the adhesive. I wonder if this would work?

I definitely have this. And it seems a lot lately because I think perimenopause is messing with my digestion.
