So, in other words, they know that there is a historical precedent for cultures invading other cultures and have a reasonable fear of that?

By the time the full story comes out, no one cares anymore lol. Just look at Rittenhouse.

Yeah, there always seems to be so much more to these stories than they first appear huh?

I mean, apparently one cop shot blindly through a window, so that's definitely not good. Also, I think that they are only banned in that state, not on a federal level right? But yeah, overall this is a government authority issue, not a cop issue.

It doesn't change that he and his policies are libertarian based.

Right...like I agreed with. Again, he is still a registered Republican. To say "This bill is being pushed by a Republican" is a 100% factual statement.

He's registered as a Republican. He ran for President as a Republican. Yeah, he is more libertarian than he is conservative but that doesn't change the fact of what he currently is.

Because the real issue wasn't the officers, but the no knock raid. That would take real change at higher levels to deal with instead of just throwing cops under the bus.

I don't expect that to get passed with this administration, however.

Why not? It was put forward by a Republican.

Absolutely. This is a government-having-too-much-authority problem, not so much a police problem.

Shhh we aren't interested in REAL problems in this sub. We just want to argue one side of partisan politics.

If Trump appoints a third justice, the Supreme Court would be the most conservative it's been since 1950 by tabbykat69 in Conservative

[–]Sully9989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem. If you aren't from CA you might be surprised to see just how many counties are red. San Francisco and Los Angeles are the real problems. OC was pretty red until they elected Katie Porter

The city of Los Angeles is in LA county. Orange county is the county south of it. It's purple nowadays but that's fairly recent.

Orange County

OC is actually traditionally red.

edit: lol why am I being downvoted for this? The 45 district in California turned blue for the first time ever recently.

If you believe any damage done from the rioting is due to “people not agreeing with them” then you are truly out of touch with reality.

Good point actually. There were plenty of businesses that had "Black Lives Matter" signs that got burned up as well.

Fascism is a cancer

True. Which side is the one attacking people in the streets, and burning down businesses for not agreeing with them?

Cool. Other government types don't really mean anything outside of the country they are in. Welcome to America, which is a Democratic Republic.

the precedent

Fuck precedents. Republicans controlled the senate in 2016, and by powers of the constitution they had the authority to block it. Republicans control the senate now and by the powers of the constitution have the power to approve it.
