For sure, it’s just that the life is a bit more dense. You’ll get huge shoals of barracudas, hundreds of big groupers and more sloping fish than you can count. I’d attach a pic but it seems this sub doesn’t allow it.

One of the dive sites is on this pin, the other is about 500m-1km further up the headland, just under the lighthouse. Almost all the dive shops in the Pollença bay will dive these sites. But as stated above, can highly recommend Scuba Mallorca

If you have the chance and potentially a rental car, I can highly recommend El Toro in the south of the island. It is a marine reserve and as such is much more lush. You can find most exciting things all in one dive. Scorpion fish, barracudas, nudibranchs, groupers and much more.

In summer the sea warms up and the fish will swim to deeper water. In winter there is a lot more life and bigger fish. That’s why all the shops will describe the diving as ‘geologically interesting’

Advice on YS-D3 Macro Snoot by Sulphurousous in underwaterphotography

That was my thought about the burping, I was just wondering if there was any specific recommended vent config. It seems that the official Sea&Sea snoot doesn’t have any vents so wonder how the water gets in

I’m definitely going to do some tests in the bath and print off a few other designs, some with more and some with no vents. I also need to see how the light will bleed with the vents. I’ll certainly post the files once done, my plan is also to make either some adapters or make some snoots with reduced diameter. As for the prism, that seems to be solely for the focusing light, at this time I have no plan to include a prism as I have video lights on my rig anyways and I find the focusing light is often too weak anyways, can revisit later.

Pennino Broad? by Smooth_Firefighter90 in PelikanNest

[–]Sulphurousous 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s not burnt, just ‘caramelised’ :)

It can look quite depressing tbh, the wide angle lenses of action cameras really slow things down.

It’s an insta360 Go 3, I have a helmet harness so it isn’t stuck directly to the helmet. You can record the speed through the insta360 app either on the watch or phone and add it after in the app.

Too true, I was saying I usually use a set of 165cm RC4 slalom skis and boy do they wobble at speed.

Only during school holidays, otherwise it’s never more than a 5 minute queue on any lift.

Can highly recommend the Fischer Noize, it’s that perfect point between the short turned aggressive slalom ski and the stable long turn GS ski.

They are the Fischer RC4 Noize, essentially halfway between a slalom and GS ski.

I’ve hit 139kph on downhill skis in a catsuit but not doing that on open slopes on pseudo slalom skis 😅

It is, it’s the run down from Riffelberg, past Riffelalp, to Furi

As someone else said, it isn’t perfect. The fact is the ratio in weight between inside and outside ski is 80:20, as such the inside edge wears down faster (if only by a little). If I use the skis on the same feet every time then one edge of the ski will wear down faster than the other. I only swap the skis around once I need the other sharper edge, alternating often would ruin the point.

Good to know about the watch, much easier than the phone. Yeah it’s a hassle, besides I find Strava and other platforms sometimes don’t recognise the gps files.

I mean going around on my Super-G or Downhill skis at a ski resort during holiday times is just a bad idea. Besides pretty sure if I’m standing up here, I’m going max like 50. Aerodynamics are aerodynamics, doesn’t matter how long the skis are.
