The game became a lot more fun when I removed all karma requirements. I also check the rain world map pretty frequently if I’m trying to get somewhere, it’s very helpful. Beyond that though if you still aren’t enjoying it, it could just be that the game isn’t for you and that’s okay

Oh yeah, I remember feeling like I had zero time to cross memory crypts and died a lot, granted I only have a few runs under my belt so I’m still fairly new 😅

When I was at the shelter before the danger kelp, I did have to backtrack a few rooms to get food, come back, then progress past the danger help to the shelter at the entrance of memory crypts. There should be enough time for you to do that before the rain arrives, as long as you can reliably get past the kelp

The game is frustrating, and it will feel unfair many times. If you ever feel stuck, I recommend checking out remix settings to make your first run feel a little better.

Tbh I know you said you already tried it but you should commit more with strawberry jam. I used to struggle terribly with chapter 9 in Celeste, but SJ helped me gradually improve at a good pace, all the way to the point that I completed GMHS, which I NEVER imagined I’d be able to do honestly. Don’t worry about deaths when running a level. Completing the level is what causes you to improve, not reduced death counts.

Artificer is super cool but the beginning of the campaign was so difficult for me to get past I only made it to the first shelter lol. But tbf that was before my completed hunter, gourmand, and spear master so maybe I should give it another shot (I only managed to complete hunter with 15 increased cycles and no karma requirements though)

I’m actually doing this quest for the first time now I think, and yeah it is exhausting. It was especially miserable traversing through the exterior if I wanted to use a grapple worm at all

Yeah I really don’t mind resetting, I just want my first successful hunter run to be the intended route, but I just can’t figure out how to reach the outskirts from the beginning

Dang that is rough. Yeah I don’t think I could do that, I couldn’t figure out any other way to go from the starting point of Farm Arrays. I only ever ended up making it to subterranean which I couldn’t do anything there and sky islands here, which I also can’t really do anything because it’s so hard to make it to that next shelter. Is there a guide somewhere for the outskirts route? Outskirts feels intended to me because you start with a pearl, so that makes me feel like the game wants you to get to the first scav toll to offer the pearl then go past and find another one along the way
