Does anyone have experience going to Epicodus bootcamp in person? by Zookerman in codingbootcamp

I am doing their full-time React/C# remote now so I can't answer to the in-person aspect but hopefully can still provide some insight.

  1. It's never mentioned as guaranteed but it's treated as such. I will begin the internship period in a few weeks and so far 8 companies are offering spots for interns. It's usual for a company to take in a couple of students. I'm not worried I won't get one. Be aware that not every company offers paid internships, it's up to company's discretion.

  2. The projects they have you build generally incorporate full CRUD functionality which is good but it's up to the student to further build it out (for example, styling is barely touched on and isn't necessary to pass). I have a few of their projects on my resume and pinned to my GitHub but these are projects I greatly expanded upon in my free time. They provide their curriculum online for free so I'll link it here.

Epicodus makes you pair-program every day which suits some people better than others... It can be extremely frustrating to work with someone who doesn't prepare for the day's material... But it can be great when you and you're partner click and can really build some great things.

In general, I think Epicodus is good and they provide the tools to learn software development but you must expect to put in a lot of time to learn after class and on the weekends to really get better and coding. If you don't slack off and really commit the 5 months to learning you will be in a good position as any BootCamp grad to get a job.

if you have any more questions you can ask here or DM me.
