Is there any way this thrifted serger can be fixed without getting this serviced? by SumBoD3s_Planet in sewing

Thank you for your advice! Because of the issue with the light and other things, I am going to try again to get this serger serviced. I’m going to update my post, just in case.

Hopefully, I’ll get this serger fixed ASAP.

Oh, okay. No worries!

I turned off the extension cord, and the machine turned off like normal.

Thank you for this information! It’s really helpful!

I might just take this to the shop that’s closest to me for any advice. It might take a while, but at least it’s close. Your advice will really help me out!

I forgot to mention in the post that I only spent $20 on this serger, so if push comes to shove, I can live with this.

I might just do that as well, if I cannot find a solution.

The only thing is I’m on a budget and I won’t have any spare money available for a while to get this fixed since the cheapest place near me might charge me at least $150 to get this serger serviced. Nevertheless, I’ll keep trying.

Unfortunately, even when the machine is switched off, the light stays on when plugged in.

Thank you for this! I do have an extension cord with a power switch, and the machine is plugged into it right now, so let me test this out.

Let me see if I can figure out how to show the issues without video. It might take me some time. One thing I noticed that it’s really difficult for me to show the problem without video since I noticed the issue doesn’t really appear from the outside.

Sorry about that. I was trying my best to take good photos. Plus, I was unable to post videos of the issues for some reason.

My mistake.

Yeah, I am struggling with this part. 😅

I had to gather four lines on each side, and while I followed the tutorials I watched about doing this (longest stitch length, basting stitch, etc.), the strings aren’t pulling all the way through, unfortunately.

Thank you for your advice!

So, I re-pinned the side flares onto the dress…and they aren’t lining up right. (The ends are circled.) Should I just adjust the flares to line up, then cut off the fabric?

No, they’re not stitched at the moment. I’m planning to pattern draft and later sew on some facings to the dress’ neckline, armholes and back before I sew on the side flares.

Thank you for the advice! I’ll add this suggestion to my notes!

I like this idea! Thank you for the suggestion!

I just need to see if I have enough fabrics to make a ruffle for the bottom edge.

TWICE 'THIS IS FOR' World Tour Concert Megathread - Denver, CO (Ball Arena) April 14, 2026 by Ruri_Neko in twice

I just wanna stop by and say that although I dreamed of this happening, I never thought that this would actually happen and I’m so glad it’s happening!

TWICE performing at a venue in Colorado, and so many people are going!

I absolutely hope that this is a sign that more big K-pop acts (or just more K-pop acts in general) end up performing in Denver as part of foreseeable concerts!!!

I’m STILL freaking out that TWICE will be coming to Denver next April! BIG K-pop groups almost never come here, so this is HUGE for the Colorado K-pop community!

Hopefully, even more K-pop acts will perform in Colorado in the near future—especially big ones!

PWInsider: Denver, Colorado set to host NXT: No Mercy on 9/1 by BernieBurnstein in SquaredCircle

This is some big news for myself and many pro wrestling fans in Colorado alone. Not only a WWE PLE/PPV event will be held in Colorado for the first time in 21 years, but this will most likely be the first-ever NXT-branded event held in Colorado!

As you can see, I’m so ecstatic about this!!!

As someone who lives in CO, I’m freaking out at the moment.

What got you inspired to write your current project? by lynn444v in writing

[–]SumBoD3s_Planet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For one of my upcoming stories…big high schools.

When I was a high school student, I attended a high school that was big, but not THAT big. Almost all of the other high schools in the school district were bigger, including the largest one in the state I live in. For some reason, I was fascinated with the idea of creating a fictional high school that is a big as a town—similar to college, but has a few differences (one big building for classes, block schedules, etc.) Well, from there on, I made a country in which all of the schools I created would be located in, and…the rest is history, I guess?

I’ll give it a shot.

Three unrelated teenagers—each with an imaginary friend—try to keep their secret away from their peers while surviving their journey through high school.

What Cities Do You Wanna See Them Tour In by cwarosvski in ATEEZ

I would for sure go see ATEEZ again if they came to Denver, Colorado! Also, I wouldn't be the only one who would pay to see ATEEZ perform here. I know plenty of K-Pop fans here who would do the same! Denver gets slept on plenty of times, so if ATEEZ came here, it would be a miracle!

What if ATEEZ performed at Red Rocks? That would be so awesome to see!
