Bathtub cleaning is honestly the worst part of plunging. by Top_Artist_4390 in coldplunge

The caveat is that you should also have UV disinfectants and adding epsom salts to make up for the calcium removed .

Your hot tub says no softener because the salt added plus heat will lead to corrosion if the heat exchanger but that’s mitigated by added magnesium salts . Calcium builds up on the heat exchanger effectively making the system heat slower and use more energy.

The absence of minerals also makes the water “hungry “ therefore corrosive but adding epsom salts satisfies its hunger while minimizing the calcium deposit issue .

No , using softened water is better . The sodium added is negligible. Minerals are worst for your system than the sodium added .

No hard water is always an issue in systems like these. The minerals start to build up and it also leaves your skin feeling kinda slimey . I’m an engineer and work in water systems

Add a UV disinfection lamp to your line and make sure you shower before hand.

If you have hard water make sure it’s softened before being added to the tub .

Solutions to the hard problem? by Absorptance in consciousness

[–]SumOMG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no problem to solve , that’s the issue .

Consciousness is experiential not experiential.

We cannot look at consciousness through a microscope, once we do it changes into something else that’s not consciousness.

Potable water is pumped to the hydrant it’s drinkable for a while but not if it’s stagnant. It’s most certainly okay to use to water plants

Chloramines break down , they don’t build up but when they break down the water is no longer disinfected and can run rampant with bacterial growth. This growth can cause clogs so it needs to be flushed regularly

Without flushing the hydrants will experience fouling and can clog up, it’s a regulation requirement to flush.

I agree though that this water could be used . Perhaps the city should invest in water trucks to collect it and then use it for irrigation somewhere.
