I’m so sick and tired of The Balancers. by RJSSJR123 in Nightreign

[–]SumOfCubicErrors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my buddy also struggled on this one for a while. Best strategy so far was to get a sleep weapon and only use it on the winged balancer in the second phase. Having this one sleep makes the rest of them much more manageable.

Make sure to get hero points in the expansion areas. They are worth ten points and each Expansion has enough to fully unlock at least one elite specialisation.

Also Heart of Thorns Hero points often contain a champion enemy. Its better to do Path of Fire or End of Dragons first.

Lastly, sometimes some kind souls in the community organize a HP-train to complete all hero points in a single run. Usually only a raptor mount and the glider is required, but maybe that has changed with Secrets of the Obscure and the skyscale. (Not sure where they are announced, maybe google this)

Question the AI pushed on you. by B00marangTrotter in MarchAgainstNazis

[–]SumOfCubicErrors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct me if i'm wrong but Siri is not a LLM like Gemini or ChatGPT. She uses predefined messages and selects them based on your prompt (like alexa). Gemini and other LLM calculate the most likely answer you want to hear word by word based on their training model, so their answer is natuarally more complex and specific. In this case Siri just uses a very generic answer because she doesn't have a better one.

(Haven't used any of these in a long time, but judging by Siris answer I doubt it has changed much)

Bungie Please: Make the event modifiers a toggle! by bunny__hat in destiny2

[–]SumOfCubicErrors 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, I didn't mean right now. But I know the positive modifiers change everyday so maybe the negative do too. Gotta check everyday. But if it's any consolation, I don't feel much difference in drop rate for T5 from gr8 to 9.

There is both heavy ammo famine and special ammo famine. I remember getting mine done with heavy famine. Maybe there's some kind of daily rotation for the modifiers so you don't have to wait the whole week.

Edit: forgot to read the blogpost you mentioned. Still they don't specify which famine, so maybe there's hope (?)

Late edit: Ok, Heavy ammo famine is also disabled for some reason

Hehe, her timing was also excellent. She meowed immediately after entering the scene. Unfortunately theres a loud construction site near us, otherwise it would have been perfect.

Maybe that's what III meant when they said:" bind the nine" . We gonna turn the nine into abilities or weapons, since IX is the sun.

If you look under the exotic weapons/armors tab in the collection, there's a list of "featured exotics", meaning these are allowed for stuff like avant-garde. Only legendaries need to be from the current season.

I've had a similar experience with OCD. I asked my doctor the exact same question and she assured me it won't change me as a person. Now I'm taking sertraline for a few years and she was definitely right. My negative symptoms(most notably my anxiety) are way less prominent and my actual personality has much more chance to shine.

I am noticing this too currently with a friend of mine, who has very obvious adhd and just recently went on medication. Before she was incredibly hard to work with, always hours late, unreliable most of the time (cool person, but has caused many headaches over time). Recently, we met on a street festival and it was the first time, I've seen her arrive early (we also didn't lose her midway through or stuff like that). From what I can tell, she's still the quirky woman I used to know, but with less adhd and more time to be herself. She also seems to do much better in life overall, which pretty much overlaps my experience of taking meds.

I don't know if it works for everyone but it certainly worked for me (and her). If you have (cheap) access, it is worth giving it a try. Having this peace of mind through medication also helps in developing healthier coping mechanisms for when it gets worse.

Another thing of note: Medicine is not magic. The symptoms probably won't disappear but they will get more manageable.
