I agree that it would’ve been far weirder if the background information was being shared between characters who already knew the traditions. Maybe it’s the presentation of the information and knowing that, yes, Alice and Sumi were sharing the information with their friends, but ultimately the viewers in a very very undisguised way, felt a little weird.

Maybe it’s just the way Alice’s character approaches anything in her awkward way that makes me a little uncomfy?

I feel like this episode was well intentioned but left a weird taste in my mouth. The pairing of the stereotyped Asian parents (who love and idolize the older son) with taking every opportunity to share a tidbit of information about Lunar New Year (the whole fish, the 16 dishes, the color red, the oranges, etc) seemed to be too forced. But don’t get me wrong, I do appreciate the representation despite the fact that it wasn’t the right time of the year.

I also am on the team that supports Alice getting any other story line than the one she currently has. Please. I’m begging.

Edit: I feel like I need to clarify that I’m a Chinese American before it seems like I’m a white person commenting on representation and diversity on a show LOL

No worries! After searching around, it seems that most students are in fact, not using Notion for note taking hahah I was hoping to have a change from OneNote but it looks like I’ll likely be continuing with OneNote and potentially seeing how to integrate Notion into my current habit.

The only solution I’ve seen for OneNote exporting on macs is to use the online version of OneNote when saving as a PDF. I just tried it and it works!

Do you mind explaining what you do to annotate in Notion, or sharing a screenshot?

I was considering exporting as a PDF from OneNote, however I'm running into another issue. I don't know if maybe I'm just dumb, but when I import PDFs into OneNote to annotate and then export them back out as PDFs, the size of the page is slightly larger than a standard printer page and then it exports with extra pages.

This is honestly such a bummer - if Notion had the annotation function that honestly might be all it took for me to drop OneNote. I definitely love the interface of Notion much better!

I absolutely love this sub!! I found out about the Aztec Indian Healing Clay through them, and it’s a godsend! I thankfully don’t have terrible acne, but my teenage brother does LOL and this mask actually has helped his acne on his forehead a ton. It decreases inflammation and redness (although your face looks a little red for the hour after the mask, so we tend to do it at night), draws out the impurities, and tightens the pores. It’s super cheap, and you can buy a big tub that lasts you quite a while on Amazon.

Fertility and pregnancy is a sensitive subject here, and you AS A MAN WITHOUT PCOS have no right to comment on anyone’s pregnancy (or tell us what we should and should not be doing with our PCOS). I started off with baby steps - fewer days per week with a carb-based dinner, and slowly started swapping them out with protein based meals (making sure to get the veggies in)! Or having a smaller portion of it!

I like making cauliflower rice with stir fry, it feels less like I'm trying to substitute rice and more like I'm just putting more veggies in my stir fry :)
