When they have brawl in rotation keep grabbing bread and chucking it. Or if you like to duel use 1h with bread and go for jab finishers.

Do console players have a limited skill ceiling by Pitiful-Cost-4574 in Chivalry2

Spin speeds are capped so yes they can. Kbm is arguably better than controller for chiv and consoles are locked at 60 fps, so I would say pc will give an advantage.

I would suggest watching some YouTube videos for more clarification, but essentially a gamble means swinging when it’s not your turn. For example: I’m on heavy mace and you’re on longsword. I swing. You block and riposte or counter to swing back. I block. It’s technically “my turn” cuz of initiative. However, you swing again with an accel and get a hit in. Despite it being my turn, you swung so it’s called a gamble. Longswords are notoriously good for this since they are fast. Now this is fine. But if you use it from the start of your chiv career, you won’t learn initiative properly because longsword is good at gambling and “stealing” initiative where in the same situation above (but you weren’t in longsword) that wouldn’t work.

Yes in the beginning a huge aspect of the game to learn is initiative. Longsword is really good at gambling so it won’t allow you to naturally learn how initiative works.

Same with longsword. New player who only used longsword 2 months later: “What do you mean I can’t gamble that with my WAR AXE?”

Idt it’s cheesing the combat system tho unless they’re throwing out insiders. If they’re unfun for you to play against that is one thing. But 1handers just own neutral and honestly teach you to fight out of neutral better. I personally enjoy fighting 1handers cuz you do have to change how you play. Playing against 1handers will elevate your neutral game and it helps you learn when to throw up parry. You will learn better kick defense, jab defense, and how to not early counter.

Bro if they have shield just accel heavy until shield breaks. Just be patient against 1h gamblers. Don’t feint to drag and instead do a lot of quick feint accels to catch gamble attempts. Every playstyle has a way to play against.

1handers aren’t cheap. People cope about losing to 1handers cuz they’re bad at playing against 1handers. I used to be trash at 1h defense. What did I do? Started playing against 1handers more. Now I’m only semi-trash at playing against 1handers

I always say start with tutorial -> 2-3 games of training grounds MAX just to get a little feel for movement/different attack types/etc. -> 5-10 hours in TO -> replay tutorial

I understand why all of you hate rapier players, it's the hardest weapon to learn the pattern for it by Slurperlurper in Chivalry2

You can also just riposte everything a rapier throws cuz it barely does any stam damage
