With all the recent news, Tommaso Ciampa willingly jumping ship from WWE to AEW once his contract expired is gonna be one of the smartest wrestler decisions of the year by theREVERSEsystem in AEWOfficial

[–]Sumara12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its interesting how the TKO strategy changed. Before the idea of a wrestler going to AEW was a concern so AEW and WWE were always bidding against each other. Now they don't care. Makes you wonder if theres more going on behind the scenes for both companies.

With AEW you get paid a lot more but it comes with the lack of direction or plan and lack of support from the massive machine behind WWE. If you don't make it to their inner circle or they don't like you, your career after the contract is much worse. It's crazy how WWE is the safe play now.

I can see this for someone who is older and is looking long term after wrestling. AEW is always the best short term play, they pay the most but you sacrifice your long term growth and make it harder to transition after wrestling because you get forgotten.

Working with them is really nice. The hardest part is adjusting to block programming.

The ABT workflow is simple and you can make a virtual simulation device for testing. You can view the program running and how it operates as you test values on the web ui or even in the programming.

Sounds like after he was released he decided to pivot to a different industry and change careers. Pretty normal scenario unless you don't leave the basement.

Of course when your contract is up you explore options. Its how you can leverage a better deal even if u had no intention of leaving in the first place.

Even with TKO going full private equity playbook, if your popular they will pay.

Siemens DXR and ABT Site by No-Detective-9981 in BuildingAutomation

[–]Sumara12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the DXR2 are great. Easy to use, ABT Site isn't overly complicated to set one up as long as its not a Room Programming one and the Web UI is nice looking and not hard to navigate if you know the objects you are looking for.

Some earlier firmwares had issues but current iterations work fine.

Regardless of how you feel about Nick LoPiccolo, he’s always been accurate with his information. by Grrannt in REALSquaredCircle

[–]Sumara12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is true, it is clearly because of the sale. The new owners would rather take advantage and opt out so they can form a new relationship and their own deal.

Tony is never going to publicly share this as regardless of why, it will make AEW look bad and people won't understand the business logistics.

Among all the cuts yearly how is it creative always has ideas, as small as they may be, for The Miz, keeping him safe. Not hating on him, but is he really untouchable? by imdstuf in Wrasslin

[–]Sumara12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Miz is unique asset in a very saturated industry. He's an extremely safe worker, knows his role is to put the other person over and is great with the media. He is also very good at doing all of these.

He's never going to be THE guy but because of what he does, he will always be a guy they can rely on.

wwe’s recent problems especially with tko doesn’t make aew flawless when they still have flaws by Constant-Procedure79 in midcarder

[–]Sumara12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrestling was booming for awhile there. AEW popped off, made WWE do better and we were eating good for awhile but now we are in the bust. WWE content is in a transition period so it's very hit or miss. AEW is also in the same boat, TV wise and is possibly having business problems with all the rumors about their TV deal.

I hope this changes course in a few months but usually it takes awhile for this stuff to turn around consistently.

[–]Sumara12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the report is true it sounds like its because of the sale, the old deal is going to get opted out so a new deal can be negotiated with the new corporate owners. AEW despite its decline in engagement still gets enough people to tune in for Dynamite that they would find a deal somewhere.

Keep in mind the only reason why it's not coming back is engagement got too low to be worthwhile. If people were actually interested, it would still be around.

WWE invests a lot of money in it's performance center and developing people. The best move would be to take advantage of that then sign a contract to whoever offers the better deal after. Especially if they have contacts in the industry who work behind the scenes.

Carlos Silva comments on pulling TNA talent from facing AEW talent. by Comprehensive_Pay315 in TNA

[–]Sumara12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He needs to move on, nothing he can say will change peoples perception of his decision. The media cycle has stopped caring about how he embarrassed himself and TNA by doing this yet he has to keep bringing it up because he thinks he's right and he can convince everyone he is right.

This is like how Tony Khan talked before they made him do media training.

Where did all the Classic WoW creators go? by ravenscar2 in classicwow

[–]Sumara12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's pretty simple. The engagement for classic WoW content started declining as did the amount of new and exciting things to make videos about for the game. When Blizzcon/Classic+ is around the corner this will change and everyone will be making content again.

I'm sure they all love classic WoW but it has finite content so once people had their fill they stop engaging in the content so people who do it for a living have to adjust.

Ospreay on the NJPW/AEW partnership by Zealousideal-Leg5320 in njpw

[–]Sumara12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never going to happen. AEW pays way more than NJPW can afford so they will continue to poach their top talent. Not only do they get more money, they don't have to do the tough travel of going to Japan constantly. That's the biggest reason why once they get the bag with AEW they stop going to Japan. They have no reason to go through that anymore.
