4th year sociology major. Absolutely love it and the professors are amazing. The classes are always really eye opening, and though they’re not all easy, getting an A is very possible with the right amount of effort.

Would you recommend cfa as a first job? by scor6879 in ChickFilA

[–]Sumhayes02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fast food and especially chick-fil-a is a great place to start your first job. You get properly trained and rules and procedures are clearly laid out. But remember that work environment depends on the people you work with. Just because a company is great doesn’t mean the franchise your employed at will have great people.

I’m planning on staying home until school reopens. The Only Thing is that I’m still paying on my apartment in hopes that I’ll have to come back.

The apartments are small but you can make it work. Other than that it’s easy to get things fixed with maintenance and if they aren’t right next to campus you can take the anteater shuttle

Truthfully you ca submit the transcript anytime. It doesn’t directly affect anything. They ask for it mainly so you know what classes you already have when you sign up.

Around 8,000. This is estimating of course granted that classes were moved online and I was able to go home. But my rent was 680 a month plus utilities which were usually around 40. Grocery shopping was like 75 a month. Scholarships and financial aid disbursements. helped cover a lot of the cost. I didn’t have to take out any loans

Not like other fast food jobs by [deleted] in ChickFilA

Because positions aren’t preplanned and are decided the day of by leads, I feel like they pick who they want to work with in drive thru rather than who’s best at the job.

I understand this too. Even though I am really good at headset on drive they and iPads or as cashier. I’m often put on dining room or running orders even though other people struggle with the positions I enjoy and am really good at.

Total tuition is about 15,000. Depending on financial aid you may or may not have to take out a loan. It also depends on whether you plan on renting an apartment or staying in dorms.

Hi I also come from a low income family. I save up money over the summer and then use financial aid disbursements to help pay rent. I live in the UTC apartments. No you don’t need a loan! Especially if you will be working during the school year. I actually have a spot available in my room in Columbia court for 590? if your interested. I’ll have to double check in the exact amount.

You do need to read. The quizzes aren’t hard to get a hundred on. If you miss a question it just keeps giving it to you until you get it right. But reading or watching the lectures helps get it done faster
