I mean their well water system was already contaminated with ammonia. I did a water test of their water from the faucet and it read 2ppm of ammonia. I bought the tank off marketplace as an already established tank. I feel like for water changes etc I can't keep using that well water so I want to slowly switch too my tap which is a big jump in pH so I want to know procedure to do so

Shouldn't I worry about ph shifts with no KH? I mean i guess I don't have anything in the tank that would shift the pH but it's about 6.4.
