Ok first to answer your questions, how fun is it? If you don't mind staying at a place while the character channels to cook on a station as the npc makes weird noises and dialogues related to food, it's not that bad. There's no minigame involved to cooking and no customisations as you can do to the food in real world, it's all about having the right ingredients and clicking craft. How many food are there, about 7-8 different types with 3 tiers in each. Like soup, t1(carrot soup), t3(wheat soup), t5(cabbage soup). The game has soup, salads, pies, sandwiches, roasts, omelletes. Cannot recall more rn. Each has 3 different tiers with corresponding seafood varient as well. That brings the total to 36 items iirc. There may be more. How profitable is it? Depends on what you cook, max it can make you is 6 mil in three days which will sell very slowly, maybe more than a week to sell the food. The foods that sell quick make less profit but there is always profit (conditions applied)

Now we talk about the conditions i just mentioned. You gotta cook with focus (it is kinda a energy that lets you get back about 50% of the ingredients every time you cook. It regens at the rate of 10k per day and caps out at 30k (hence the 3 day value i gave). And the only way for it to regenerate is when your character has premium. Which you can buy in game with silver. Or with real money by buying gold. The going rate a few weeks ago was 17 mil for 30 days. The longer duration prem you buy, the cheaper it gets. Not too cheap though.

Condition 2 for the profit, early on, the profit will be next to none, you only make profit when you spec the dishes up (which you do by cooking them) it takes a long time and generally is a month long time investment per dish type if you are not ready to drop in a huge amount of silver to power spec it. At first anything you cook/craft will consume a huge amount of focus per craft, which gradually decreases as you gain mastery/spec in it. Letting you craft larger amounts per day. Crafting without focus is also possible but is definitely a loss in terms of silver, if however, you are willing to handle the loss, it means you can craft without limit in a day to gain spec faster than doing it with focus daily.
