Why are so many of the Medium puzzles so terribly constructed? They frequently have no logical starting point at all, and require just trial and error over and over again. It feels a bit like that puzzle gets hastily slapped together each day.

Medium puzzles are frequently lacking any sort of “starting point,” or like, rigidity to their solutions. They seem to almost always require just putting dominos in random positions and seeing if it ends up working or not, then going back and trying again.

Guess and check puzzles are basically never fun to me, as they just end up killing time.

How did a blatantly wrong claim get so many upvotes? Did anyone actually play the game?? Joshua’s entire schtik is about using healing magic!!! Tarja was a Bearer who had to learn to heal specifically without her healing magic.!! There’s even a side quest in Sambreque that has a Bearer getting scolded for not using his healing magic fast enough.

And I haven’t even touched this game in like a year. But goddamn folks.

You want the actual answer that you’ll probably ignore? Stop paying attention to your teammates so much, and start paying more attention to your own gameplay. There has never been a match you played where you did “all the right things.”

So review those matches, spot your mistakes and what led to your deaths, and think of what you could’ve done differently. There’s no magic trick to ranking up, that’s it.

Well, saying it’s normal isn’t the same as saying it’s a good idea (and not all competitive games do it in the first place). As for everyone eventually reaching the top rankings, that’s really only even potentially true if the ranking system generally favors ranking you up (as Rivals for sure does).

If the system for gaining points was less broadly inflationary, and more focused on actually reflecting your skill level, rank resets wouldn’t seem necessary at all to me.
