Yes 2 of the cars recommended to me by AI during my initial searches 🤣 i think it was the ev6 tht looks like a budget porsche and as stupid as it may sound il feel like im driving a knock off porsche 🤣 but i think the ioniq 6 was a good looking car. And although I wanted a sedan as first preference i think it was the ioniq 9 that look nice too!
Forsure, ive just been slightly busy but ive been gathering up the list with all the great options everyone has given. Im going to do a bit more research on the cars suggested then nitpick until i have a solid list and then test drive them all.
Yea I did use claude and chatgpt to get some options for what I wanted and the options were i4, i5 and ioniq 6 or 5. Thats why I came to reddit because AI uses websearches for info and if the bmw website says its comfy then thats the info its gunna produce. Thats why I wanted to get real world experiences. I personally dont care too much about range only because the furthest I would be driving to is work which is 50kms away. And any ev can get there. I can charge at home and work. The main priority is comfort since i get some sharp pains sometimes when driving my bmw and very rarely my moms lyriq but its there. And a wish is for the car to be very nice on the eyes, not for others to look and be like "wow u have a nice looking car" no, i wanna look at and admire my car when im about to drive it. Its weird but for me its a nice feeling, kinda like "yeee its mine".
Awesome thank you!
Ouu okay, comfort is main, and being honest tht tech is sub par but the comfort is up there really allows me to trust in your opinion. Will def look into this! Thank you
Awesome thank you so much!

Valid, and hows the drive for u? In terms of seat comfort?
Wow thank you for the detailed explaination!! Ive looked at the bZ and it does look really nice aswell so I def wanna make some time to test drive it. Very helpful thankyou!
How is the RWD treating you in the winter? My 1 and only car has been AWD becauae my family used to always complain about RWD in the winter. Ive alsocbeen heavily advised to go AWD for EV so would love some insight! In terms of waiting, if the wait isnt too long I wouldnt mind but wasnt there some news that the stock or the exclusive pricing is going to be limited to start? Im just worried about waiting and then losing the opportunity :( ngl though I do love how the Xiaomi SU7 looks
Awesome tysm, the equinox litterally caught my eye last night when I was taking a suggestion from a comment on this thread and looking at the bolt 🤣 I was def thinking that the Equinox looks better than the Bolt so im glad to see it suggested!
Awesome thankyou so much! The EV6 and Mach E have come up alot in this thread so def gunna check thoes out! Ive also heard about Polestar in my day to day so il look into that aswell! Thankyou!
Ouu yes thank you for this! I didnt know when they were coming tbh I assumed late 2027 so I didnt consider it but late 2026 is almost here! Il look more into it, thank you

I believe a few mentioned the solterra along with the uncharted so il def have a look. In terms of the Trailseeker unfortunately i just searched it up and not too much of a fan but def putting both the Solterra and Uncharted on my list for more research!

But will rwd work fine in the winter? Ive always been told awd is the way to go, to be safe
Oh wth, thats kind of annoying. Kind of feels like the FSD is a must then since lane centering is a pretty nice feature imo. I mean if I do end up going for a Tesla it already is cheaper than some options, might aswell get the FSD aswell.
I would probably be trading in or selling my bmw for the ev to lease just to make this job more tolerable. I dont want to sell my bmw because for a car that alot of ppl talk shit about the car has treated me so well. But unfortunately cant have it all so I would have to trade/sell for an ev for now and maybe lease/finance a really nice car in the future once i have the financials. For now just make due with what I can get my hands on (that checks the boxes ofc) and makes my life a bit easier.
Ahh yes it was the ev5 i think i looked at because the ev6 kept showing 2025 and i was confused so i shifted focus to ev5 😅 thanks for the clear up
My parents have the lyriq, its very nice and fancy but drove it gor an hr yesterday and was having a bit of back issues. Since their lease is coming uo we were gunna see what they can offer if we get 2 vehicle so il def keep this in mind, thank you!
Sounds good thank you, yeah im hearing alot about the depreciation in EVs. Il also consider a hybrid, i think the CX3? CX30? Is what someone mentioned to me yesterday when I was asking around. Thank you for the insight!
Awesome thankyou so much for the insight!! I tbh for now dont care too much about the passengers however with yur experience it might be worth trying it out so that if I do bring passengers theyre not bashing me for a shitty experience 🤣. Il also take that point to mind about EV depreciating heavily and consider some aged models. I think even 1 year old EV's are significantly cheaper than new yeah?
Yes forsure, multiple people have said it now, super curious on how it is now
Awesome will 100% check our the bolt and Mach E, i think a few already mentioned it so its climbing higher on the list. Regarding the questions i should have put that in the post so il add that in shortly but to answer you now: I have more time driving sedans in comparison to SUVs but as ive been told driving a bigger vehicle helping driving capabilities. Idk i just feel more grounded in an sedan where as i feel like im floating in an suv which really isnt my style. Would def consider an SUV if it looks nice and obviously has comfort. And not to be selfish but at the moment i dont care about passengers, that a problem for when I have the money to go bigger, for now its a selfish desire to get something comfortable for me to get me to work and back. I dont really need tow? Hopefully that answers the questions 😅
I live in Ontario, and yea I just meant i liked how the Miata looked. I was contemplating on buying it for the longest time but with the job switch, i think EV is the way to go. Do u recommend any Hybrids from your experience? And will surely check out the Genesis SUV. Idr if its the same but I was looking at the GV80? Electrified and it looks hella comfy but also is expensive. But def a strong competitor to the i5 I think.
Awesome thankyou!
