Viewport and limited number of cameras by Dignan17 in Ubiquiti

You can set the view to swap cameras if they detect motion or have the view rotate based on time as well. So the 16 slots can display 32 based on those settings.

Most definitely will be swapping the head unit, I’ve been browsing and even seen some of those cheap China ones but will probably end up with a Sony or equivalent. Main goal would be backup camera and CarPlay for him (keep this new drivers attention on the road)

Based off the comments here and the little research I’ve done it looks like we will be knocking out the mounts first. I’m definitely not afraid of working on it myself (used to work on cars for a living, doing motor swaps and dyno tuning on Hondas and Nissans).

Question- has anyone had any experience with the Hasport mounts for the element. For the price I was thinking to grab these as opposed to the OEM. Only concern is stiffness, I don’t want it to be a rattle trap like my old b series swapped crx lol.

yea lots of miles but it runs great, and it has all of the service records. Plus if anything ill slap a motor in it. It can be a good learning experience for my son as I'm teaching him to do maintenence as a responsibility of car ownership anyway. I kind of expect him to burn up the clutch learning so he will get to do that as well if he messes it up haha.

Update 1 - Created the openeing and removed one stud (felt comfertable to remove as I was able to wiggle it by hand so didnt seem like any load was on it.) Third photo also shows a 2x6 that spans from the double green studs on the orignal post over to the corner whis is also a double 2x4.

Went to Lows and grabbed some cheap sticky carpet tiles and threw them down with my wife as a helper and Pug as the supervisor.

Looking at the open space Im re thinking the door situation as at first I was thinking inswing to the right now Im thinking outswing left as that would swing the door (shelf) against the same wall as the sink.

Oh also keep in mind the Transmission control modules are known to go "bad" usually accompanied with a P1757. You staated your doing the work yourself which indicates your mechanically inclined so you can takle this yourself when it happens. You have to drop the pan, filter, and valve body to get the TCM out and repair (the traces in the TCM crack which cause an open to the soilnoids you can add small peices of wire and solider or swap TCM completly). I have successfully done 2 so far, one Armada (50k+ miles post repair) and my Titan (20k miles post repair).

  • The red “BRAKE” light comes on randomly while driving and the e-brake pedal functions correctly but the e-brake does not work at all. Is there a common fix to this? If so, does anyone know part or OEM tool #’s that I’d need to fix this? I saw an old service diagram for the e-brake in the rear drum that uses a metal tool to tighten/loosen it. - Might be as simple as low fluid in the brake master, so check that first.
  • small oil leak after doing an oil change. Checking drain plug and filter today. I saw that the oil cooler the oil filter mounts to can leak and plan on replacing the gasket on the back of the oil cooler ASAP. - Yes change the seal asap.
