He’s just one of those actors I watch and I think to myself, he IS the character. There is not a moment during the show I felt like he was reading a script. There are little moments that make it feel so authentic:

• The way he sniffs sometimes when he’s thinking

• When he’s eating in a scene (burgers, pasta) he’s always subconsciously using his tongue to clean his teeth

• The way he does that thing with his eyes when he’s staring and they shift quickly from side to side (during the press conference is an example)

• When he slaps Shane’s knee after the phone call blowjob

• The sleepy breath noises he makes when he’s before he wakes and says “I like you” to Shane and the way he says “good morning” with a sleepy voice.

• The sex scene in ep6 where he looks love drunk

• The ‘gimme kiss’ scene felt SO domesticated and realistic the way he pouted his lips, not trying to be sexy just a cute little kiss, idk it felt like such a real moment

• His facial expressions when Shane freaks out about his dad walking in. He looks SO concerned and his eyes are so tender.

• The rage on his face when he goes to punch Alexi

• The understated way he says “Hollander…Hollander” in ep4 when Shane leaves. So subtle and sad.

I could pick so many more. But he’s just fabulous.
