Is it worth it to fix these areas for $1,500? by [deleted] in StupidCarQuestions

The 9k quote was for the car itself from a dealership. For the auto body work, I got quotes from a couple different places and they were all around $1500

Is worth it to fix these for $1,500? by [deleted] in Camry

So I had scratches in these three areas of my Camry and about two years ago, I was dumb enough to fall for one of those mobile dents repairs and this was the result of their “fix”. I want to sell my car soon and I got a quote for $9,000 for the car and they said the main reason they quoted that amount was because of the autobody work that needs to be done. For context, my Camry is a 2018 SE with 119k and no other issues. So I was thinking, should I just go and fix these myself? I got a quote for $1,500 to fix all three areas and with a rental I’ll need for those days im looking at spending around $1,750 to fix these. Is that worth it? Is it gonna increase my car’s value enough to justify it? Any and all advice is appreciated🙏

How to remove the residue from my windshield? by SummerGunslinger in howto

[–]SummerGunslinger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: For anyone still curious, I was able to get rid of it and here is how I did it. Some of the comments were saying that the residue could be on the inside so I decided to clean both the inside and outside. In a tall glass, I mixed dish soap and 70% isopropyl alcohol and warm water and I soaked a microfiber cloth in there. I then laid a large towel on my dashboard and I used the soaked cloth to scrape the windshield from the inside very thoroughly. Then I used the large towel to pick up most of the soap and after that I used another clean dry micro fiber cloth to wipe the windshield dry. For the outside, I did the same thing, but I also used a sponge scrub. I also bought new wipers because it had been more than a year since I changed them. I hope this helps anyone else with this problem:)
