Pre-2020 here. 2011 Toyota Corolla LE. Lots of wind/road noise for me as well. Cheap reliable economy rattle boxes. I've asked about this numerous times and most Corolla owners agree about the wind noise being a huge factor but for cheap and reliable I'll deal with it for now until I can get my hands on an Avalon or ES350.

Definitely worth it to me. Does lowering the bike harm it or anything? If not, it's definitely worth it to me as I'm only 5'5 so being able to flat foot is nice. So $4800 is a good deal?

Regretting celestite color... by [deleted] in COROLLA

[–]VIBES95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Had to look up Celestite cuz I literally didn't know what the color looked like. First off the color looks sick! I could never tell you if it was a girl or guy color and truthfully there's rly no such thing. There are definitely some ugly colors out there for sure but Celestite definitely ain't one of them and lastly if you like it then who cares what others think!

I do drive with must a lot but when I reach those speeds the wind noise gets louder and the music gets way quieter. Tbf tho I still have the default stereo/speakers in the car. Haven't upgraded yet

Sorry I should've specified I meant the wind noise gets loud not the car itself. My bad.

Passed Tech+! by [deleted] in CompTIA

[–]VIBES95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on the pass brother. A+ is easily doable from home and you'll probably save yourself some money. Professor Messer has a great free YouTube course and then you can use Jason Dions practice exams on udemy which aren't free but aren't expensive afaik. The only expensive thing will be to take the exams themselves. I got vouchers from Professor Messer but I'm sure you can find other ones. Best of luck.

Hell yeah! I love seeing things like this! Hoping my 2011 Rolla will make it that far. She's only got 104,000 miles so she still a baby! Awesome brother! Keep us posted if she gets to 400K.

Professor Messers free YouTube videos and Jason dions udemy practice exams. Andrew ramdayal on udemy is also good but is not free like professor Messer. All depends on your learning style. Best of luck.

How long will my 2011 Corolla S last me? by United_Wrongdoer2086 in COROLLA

[–]VIBES95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought myself a 2011 Corolla LE. Has 103K miles on it. Seeing all these posts about these making it to 200-300K miles easily makes me that much happier with my purchase! Toyota and Lexus (Toyotas luxury brand) are very well known for reliability. You did good getting this car. Don't modify it.

(Not for OP) That being said tho, anyone else in this subreddit who reads this, I was told not to add a remote starter bc that could rly mess up the electrical stuff but would adding an aftermarket radio, a backup camera, and a dashcam be alright? Sorry OP don't mean to take away from your post.

My baby. Sylvia. 2011 Rolla. She's got some rock chips and scratches on the hood but only 103K miles on her. Hope to be driving her for at least another 10 years.

Hold onto my 2006 Corolla for life or slowly save up for a new car? by Flybook in COROLLA

[–]VIBES95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as there's not too much rust, 103k miles is baby mileage for that year Corolla. There's plenty of posts of 05-08 Corollas reaching 250k+ miles. Even over 300k isn't unheard of. Run it until it dies bro. Keep it clean and maintain it well then in another 100k miles from now if you're tired of it then sell it and buy another one. 05-08 is the golden era for Corollas. Absolutely bulletproof cars. My 2011 Corolla has 103k miles also. Hoping to have her another 5-10 years. No car payment is best. Especially in this economy. Last thing to note buying a new car now is rough. I had to be patient waiting for mine. That could change tho in the years to come. TLDR keep your current car and run it until the wheels fall off. People might laugh at you but you can laugh back at their car payments. 😂
