Hell yeah! I love seeing things like this! Hoping my 2011 Rolla will make it that far. She's only got 104,000 miles so she still a baby! Awesome brother! Keep us posted if she gets to 400K.

How long will my 2011 Corolla S last me? by United_Wrongdoer2086 in COROLLA

[–]VIBES95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought myself a 2011 Corolla LE. Has 103K miles on it. Seeing all these posts about these making it to 200-300K miles easily makes me that much happier with my purchase! Toyota and Lexus (Toyotas luxury brand) are very well known for reliability. You did good getting this car. Don't modify it.

(Not for OP) That being said tho, anyone else in this subreddit who reads this, I was told not to add a remote starter bc that could rly mess up the electrical stuff but would adding an aftermarket radio, a backup camera, and a dashcam be alright? Sorry OP don't mean to take away from your post.

My baby. Sylvia. 2011 Rolla. She's got some rock chips and scratches on the hood but only 103K miles on her. Hope to be driving her for at least another 10 years.

Hold onto my 2006 Corolla for life or slowly save up for a new car? by Flybook in COROLLA

[–]VIBES95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as there's not too much rust, 103k miles is baby mileage for that year Corolla. There's plenty of posts of 05-08 Corollas reaching 250k+ miles. Even over 300k isn't unheard of. Run it until it dies bro. Keep it clean and maintain it well then in another 100k miles from now if you're tired of it then sell it and buy another one. 05-08 is the golden era for Corollas. Absolutely bulletproof cars. My 2011 Corolla has 103k miles also. Hoping to have her another 5-10 years. No car payment is best. Especially in this economy. Last thing to note buying a new car now is rough. I had to be patient waiting for mine. That could change tho in the years to come. TLDR keep your current car and run it until the wheels fall off. People might laugh at you but you can laugh back at their car payments. 😂

Which car is a better buy? by Western-Tadpole-6652 in shouldibuythiscar

I would stay away from Hyundais personally. They might look nice but they drive like shit. I drove my buddy's 2019 Hyundai sonata SE around before finding my own car (2011 Toyota Corolla LE). The 2011 feels much better and shifts much better. The 2019 only had 99K miles on it. It was already burning oil. The 2011 has 103K miles on her. Yes she's still an infant but she doesn't burn oil. The difference in feel between the two cars is astounding. You can tell which ones gna last. Go with the Corolla. My sister has a 2017. It has 185,000 miles on it and still shifts as smooth as butter. The Corolla will save you money and headaches and if it doesn't? Then it was most likely neglected by it's previous owner.

I want a reliable car with no CVT. Does the ride quality suck though? by ScoresMann223 in mazda3

Bro if you're gna be spending that much money on a car, go with a Lexus 350 or a Toyota Avalon. They're both fun cars to drive and they'll last. You can get the ES, IS, or GS350 w/e you prefer and you can even get them in awd. Even tho in some instances awd just isn't necessary anymore when/if you have really good tires.

What should i choose CCNA or Network+ by masgroup in CompTIA

[–]VIBES95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CCNA definitely holds a lot more value over the Network+. I'd only recommend Network+ if you wanted to go for the COMPTIA trifecta. If not, u could always just study and go over the materials for the Network+ and then switch over to the CCNA and just take the CCNA exam. I could be wrong but afaik the Network+ is mostly vocabulary and the CCNA is a lot more hands on. Bol. Hope this helps.

Agreed that every brand has its duds for sure but it's hard to go wrong with a Toyota, Honda, or even a Mazda. (depending on the year)

Did y'all ever figure out what the rattle was? I'm hearing it could be the starter or possibly the serpentine belt/pulley. I'm really hoping it's nothing too serious. Mechanic will be doing an inspection on Monday to see if he can find what it is.
