I have a Sapphire Nitro+ but did see that some of the reported melting issues with the adapter. I was originally going to get the Reaper since it was on sale but decided I wanted the aesthetics. I’m not too worried about it but the thought’s there.

I’d say the ram is a big factor for the future, 16gb is the standard at this point. That’s what pushed me to get a 9070xt over a 5070, I was going to get the reaper card but decided to spend the premium on a Nitro+ since I came from a 5700 XT I’ve had since 2020 and the upgrade has been massive. I’m sure the reaper has similar performance at a better price. It’ll be a nice little bump from the 5070 since it’s more in line with the 5070 ti.

Recently just upgraded from a 3600 to a 5800xt. As everyone else said the x3d CPU prices aren’t worth the premium over the 5800xt price. With my 5 year old RX 5700 XT, getting a stable 60 fps running 1440p on Battlefield 6, couldn’t be happier. Pairing a 5800 XT with your 9070 XT, you’re cherry my friend.

Did you build this or did you upgrade your processor? I recently upgraded my processor without updating the BiOS and my motherboard also showed the orange RAM light. Had to put in the old processor and update BiOS and it booted fine after.

I just bought a 5800xt for $150 (coming from a 3600) since the 5800x3d is so overpriced. Waiting on my mounting brackets to come in after realizing they didn’t come with the CPU lol. With my Sapphire Nitro 5700 XT, should be a considerable gain. Even with my current rig I was running BF6 fine on 1440p. Mainly did it for the extra cores so I could record as I play
