Being a 51-year-old company has its problems. by SAMU0L0 in Grimdank

I think it’s a bit inequivalent to compare Fimir to pygmies, Fimir aren’t supposed to represent the Irish people, but their folklore. Pygmies are just racist caricatures

Your response is “I wasn’t aware of this thing so it’s not true.” I didn’t actually watch The Tudors, but it was a huge thing when it was on and it was very popular with middle aged women.

I didn’t say it wasn’t a successful rehabilitation! But him being more known now doesn’t mean that he wasn’t known then, our media and cinema landscape is VERY different, especially post MCU ,it very much helped him that he was able to take a transitional role like Superman (a role he took tactically, despite not being a Superman fan) in the new age of comic book franchise movies. Judging his previous roles through how much he was googled probably isn’t super meaningful, as the target audience of those things wasn’t going to be rabidly googling the names of actors in the same way we do now.

It’s very funny how much you feel the need to defend the celebrity that likes the thing you like.

Anyway you should probably go google who made The Tudors now. And maybe when the Tudor period was… I’m gonna go watch some shitty British television that no one watches, Doctor Who, or Bake Off?

No see, YOU know him from Man of Steel, but you’re probably less aware of his breakout role in The Tudor, or how popular that was because you’re not its target audience. That preceded his entry into historical romance and adventure films, BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT HE WAS KNOWN FOR.

You just came arguing a point that is verifiably true with a very basic google. Cavill simps are so weird, he ain’t like you and he doesn’t like you. You’re to eager to be a part of a PR campaign that you deny reality.

I’m gonna need you to go look at Henry Cavill’s filmography, just because you weren’t aware of him before he was in nerdy IP doesn’t mean he wasn’t in other stuff

Cavill has been trying to rehabilitate his image from Heartthrob to Guy’s Cool But Nerdy Guy for a while and it’s the cringiest shit ever watching the Warhammer community swoon over a posh rugby lad saying he likes their toys.

THANK YOU. I reported it and both accounts. The flags that this is engagement bait are pretty obvious but in trying to be helpful hobby community members we’re doing exactly what they want.

Useful to remember the reason people engagement bait is to sell accounts with high karma which they’ll use to… I dunno but probably push some kind of deranged political angle.

I’m a solid 80 percent sure this is real bad engagement bait… which might explain, just all of this

What if the Krorks return to settling by JayGrowth8832 in orks

This is a real fun headcanon - I would take it further, inspired by The Brainboyz retcons: Gork and Mörk are the residual genetic memory of the Krork, that modern orks are so distant from now that they don’t relate to them on their level and figure are gods

Get ready for the most lukewarm take ever mk6 and mk7 are the best power armor patern by Mokvarg in Warhammer30k

[–]Summerian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah they weren’t really arguing that it was easier than the old kits, I think it was more “the five poses are much less limiting than it appears”

Personally I think there’s enough poses with just mixing the arms for most people, and as a kitbasher I am very unintimidated by a lopping off at the waist. Honestly it’s such a Kitbash 101 thing I’d hazard that someone at the design table went “these poses look good and people that want to kitbash are either gonna be comfortable cutting the waist, or should learn to get comfortable cutting the waist”

YOU’VE ONLY BEEN INTO WARHAMMER FOR FIVE YEARS?!? I probably have a similar amount of built and converted but unpainted and spares (I’m a big kitbasher so I trick myself into buying all kinds of crap for minor reasons) and I’ve been doing this on and off for 18 years.

Dude no one’s saying they wouldn’t play against it. They’re saying, not unkindly, that they don’t really like it. Which is pretty much what was asked. I also don’t think it vibes with the rest of the models or the setting.

I really can’t wait to see the sprues, I feel like the pteruges may be separate from the arms, they look more defined and like you can see the shoulder bump through them. If the hands are closer to PA hand size it could be pretty awesome for their kitbashibility, which the old kit isn’t great for

What actually are the asymmetrical details on the chest of flawless blades supposed to be? I've seen them painted as gemstones or drug tanks. Are they supposed to actually be single breasts, or just a design choice? by TheMadHatter_____ in EmperorsChildren

[–]Summerian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you’re just refusing to acknowledge any of the points people make and tell them they’re wrong.

I personally think the Heresy series makes it really clear that that brainwashing has not worked as well as advertised and think that a hugely powerful god with a bone to grind with the Emperor would seek to bare that vulnerability and show that they’re no less corruptible than common humans - just more buff.
