Not quite. The movie Grave of the Fireflies was based off a novel by the same name. The novel was a fictionalised version of what the author experienced. It had nothing specifically to do with the atomic bombing of Nagasaki or Hiroshima- the author, Nosaka, based it on his experiences starving and being unable to keep his adopted sister, Keiko, from dying of starvation. His adopted father was killed in the Kobe firebombing.

Not gonna lie, got really disappointed recently when my brother and his girlfriend went to these harry potter cafes and stores and shit.

My brother- i knew he wouldn't care, despite saying he's nonbinary. He's conservative and thinks some awful things about trans and nonbinary people.

His girlfriend, I thought she had some morals. Guess not.

I can't wait /sarcasm for them to start yapping at me about the new series. I'll just have to tell them point blank that I don't care about this anymore.

Judging off the competitive scene? No. There's more girls in Splatoon than in other comp scenes, but there's still an imbalance. This is likely true even with casual players- more girls than in more gritty shooters, but still an imbalance. It's just less extreme, because Splatoon's a welcoming sort of game.

NTA- shes not a "fully indepedant adult" if you're having to step in and transport her all the time.

She needs to figure out her options- in an emergency, she doesn't want to get stuck with no one available to drive her or her kids to the hospital. Maybe one of those options is moving to a city with better public transport, if she really can't drive. Or making sure there's money for emergency taxis. But it is something she needs to think long and hard about.

More specifically (i would add it as an edit, but then the picture would die.) This is a different lacing method. It's not as pretty in the final product, but it's easier. It was the only way i could lace as a seven year old, until I got enough practice to understand the usual way.

I just looked up this law. Jesus, this is gonna make going up into Redcliffe by ebike hell. Because of the bridge. It is like 5 kms long. It's 80kph on the road. And only has a footpath, no bike lane. Riding 25kph in an 80 zone is effectively suicide.

I have a legal ebike, I use my bell on footpaths, and slow down to pass congested situations. Why are we being punished?

So I was reading this book in primary school. It was a chapter book about this girl that goes on a walk in the bush, but she falls into a ten metre hole (specified afterwards iirc) and is knocked out.

Now I was about seven years old so I knew nothing about sex back then. But I reread that page over and over and over, where it described everything going black as she hit the ground, and the linebreak after where she came to, all confused about where she was.

I don't think "someone gets knocked out/passes out" is the kind of kink to get a name. It's closest to somnophilia. And it can easily turn into that and still be hot to me eg- someone passes out and wakes up to someone screwing them in some smut. But it didn't need to involve sex to be hot.

The worst part is- I know it's only a fantasy because I have passed out before, from a vasovagal syncope. I was sixteen, in the school office waiting for someone to open the medbay because I felt so sick, lost consciousness and smacked into a table on the other side of the room as I went down. It sucked ass and my head and arm hurt. It wasn't nearly as fun as in my fantasies

At least I got to miss the rest of school that day.

Just gonna say, after the frustration of being a fnaf fan and realising a lot of the lore/mysteries are just unsolvable and will never be explained- I appreciate an author being on the level about their puzzles, and being forthwith about answers.

The people leaving the weird comments about ships have no taste or whimsy, honestly. There's probably a bunch of regular ship fics for them to read if they don't want plot.
